Agreed, Lib. They didn't know what hit them. Trundle was a trickster and a crowd pleaser no doubt, but he didn't (couldn't?) do it at the highest level. On the other hand, Michu's first season was sheer class.
According to Wales Online reports in Italy say he will be back with us in January as he has flopped at Napoli.
Not good news for anyone. I think many were wondering if Michu had arrived at a Bodde stage in his career and it looks it might be so. Either way I doubt we'd have him back. Neither Monk nor Michu want him to return crocked or fit.
This is of no surprise to me, I did state pre-season that I was told his ankle injury could well be up there with Bodde, and that the club were hoping that the summer rest would resolve the issue, but clearly it has not. With regards to his attitude to us as fans and the club, it's not been one you would warm to, and whether that is down to his reported bipolar issues or not, I have no idea, but I doubt you'll ever see him again in a Swansea shirt, it's looking very much like his career is over?...............
