What would I do .... Stay in a club that plays the way that works for me me. Stay with a manager that gets the most out of me. Stay with a club that has every chance of being as successful as any club around ... except the top two and I'm talking La Liga top two .... If Barca or Madrid came then I woud have to think about leaving.
Seriously, if we sold Michi for that amount we would probably be saying goodbye to Laudrup. If I was ML I would be offended that the fruit of my work was being treated with such contempt and would not see a future nor an incentive to bust my gut and have my core players moved out from under me for so little value. What would be the point of staying.
Everton have been doing that for years, don't flatter yourself! I think at the moment Michu is about £25m but it's a long hard season and players do dip in form.
I think we accept that Michu will leave one day but Liverpool won't get him. I think he will want a big club like Real madrid, Man Utd etc. Hell even RVP left Arsenal for a bigger club and Liverpool aren't as attractive as Arsenal who aren't as attractive as Man Utd. Unless we get a silly bid we don't need to sell. As has already been pointed out: the £60m for survival outweighs any bid for Michu. realistically we could get relegated without him, we definitely won't with him. HJ needs to get him tied down on a longer deal (I'm thinking 15 years hehe) for more money.
seriously is that realistic??? you would turn down mega life changing money because you like the club..
Liverpool not a big club if they are not a big club then i dread to think what you think we are... Nobody has said that michu will go anywhere yet.....all we can see is a couple of clubs interested in michu and you can bet others will enquire about him in January....Liverpool has as much chance as anyone of the clubs that will be involved because they are such a big club.....stop deluding yourselves because they have had a few lean years as they are always up there fighting for a European spot nearly every season....now would you not say that takes a big club to do that most seasons....
Came from a blog not a media report. http://hereisthecity.com/2012/12/09/liverpool-michu-and-a-most-unlikely-transfer-rumour/ OR http://www.footballtransfertavern.com/2012/12/premiership/liverpool-ready-to-swoop-for-swansea-star Either way, we can expect a load more of this type of article from lazy, jealous or petty journo's, eg most from Wales-online, or from the blogs of desperate fans struggling to come to terms with the demise of their once great team, or from threads of our very own trolls, Dai. All we need remember is that regardless of who wrote the words, the 'stories' are as dilute as the vapor from a steaming turd. Michu wont be playing for T'pool unless Rog wants to pay us at least £20M. I doubt he, even if he did invent passing football, would pay that much for what he'd consider is a back-up to Suarez.
That's not what I wrote and you know it. (1) you don't know exactly how much of a delta in cash after tax there is - so let's not get too crazy on life changing money - if he's investing in other football clubs (crap clubs so he's basically kissing the money goodbye) he's not doing too shabby as it is; (2) You're not factoring in the Leon Factor - which is why I stated that he's great, but great in our system, that may not carry over to the system of any other club.
