Dai, no need to insinuate that somebody is talking bollocks because you disagree with them.
If this is allowed then 99% of the replies to your comments would open with a similar sentence.

Who would bid a vast sum of money on any player let alone michu without first checking his medical records because every man and his dog knew that he has been out of action for most of the season and nobody would stomp up millions for a player that wont last long....So If these bids are genuine then why the hell would we want to sell a goal scorer of his ability... As for gomer then as we have got him on a free then we can afford to offer him a lump sum of a couple of million and put him on our top wage structure. we are saving millions by not having to pay a transfer fee or agent fees so its a good deal all around.

....but you're argument regarding the Bony transfer was that team morale would be seriously damaged because he was getting paid more than the others.....Gomis will be getting paid much more than even Bony, and by a distance.
(don't make me drag up the quotes from you)

You've contradicted yourself again haven't you you silly twat. :)

Dai... youre the master of contradiction ..... it should be a criminal offense for you to accuse anyone of contradiction.... I guess a big wage amongst the team is suddenly a good thing .

Dai, you called Terror a twat and he's responded in kind. The way I see it, provided there aren't anymore insults from the pair of you no action needs to be taken, unless one of you now responds with an insult towards each other. If someone calls someone a twat then expect to be called one in return.

He was great wasn't he. The best player I've ever seen in a Swans shirt.
I'm so glad he is refusing to play for us anymore and desperately seeking a way out....especially as we have just doled out a 4 year contract worth approx. £16m to a 29 year old who has never played in the Prem before to "replace him" :)

All hail Monk for returning us to the "Swansea way".....we are now looking to play 2 target men up front.....a diamond formation with less width....a more direct style of football....and are signing old hungry players (hungry for dosh) and ex Brendan Rodgers era players Sinclair (a bloke who hasn't played first team footie since he left here...even when on loan at West Brom!) and Siggurdsson (who I still like actually....but £10m really? He ****ed us off when we had lined up a £6.5m deal a couple of years ago....since then he has increased his value by, er, sitting on the bench!)....who else has our esteemed leader got lined up? Mark Gower? Dorus De Vries? Dobbie? Orlandi?

    Joy is me.

Coming from someone who bitched and moaned about Bonys wages destabilising the squad last season to now agreeing with the wages we have reportedly agreed with Gomis <laugh>

I don't know Valley. Lots in the press about it though. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, we are after all looking to sign Emnes and have been linked with Siggurdsson, Borini, Allen and Caulker.....spot the connection :)

I'll be surprised if our wage structure has been broken so that Bony's nose will be out of joint. Jenkins won't do that. As Gomis is on a free we have some wiggle room and Jenkins (imo) will use that to pay a larger than usual signing-on fee and performance related bonuses. Just my opinion.

Not sure on your points Mr Know It All even though I usually agree with a lot of your posts. Have we signed Gomis to replace Michu? Where did that come from? Sigurdsson is overpriced yes but can do job if played centrally. If JDG is going I can see the logic. Sinclair? A gamble but good players don't become bad overnight. Leon's career stalled at the Blades remember, and Sinclair may just be one of those players that 'fits' with us. Who knows?

I'm not exactly delighted Monk is our Manager but I'm prepared to back the guy as should all of us. He will stand or fall by the decisions he and the Board are making right now.

Lastly, to Daiswan: the fact that someone may be in another country makes no difference to their input as a poster. Plenty of Swansea based posters talk bollocks. :)

At the end of the day it is the hypocrisy of some that gets me. We had to get rid of Laudrup to return to the "Swansea way".....I don't see any evidence of it so far.
Dai going on and on about Bony's wages, getting on his back from the off.....now, a few months later, he is fine with us paying a fortune to Gomis.
Jenkins stating we were going to return to our principles, one of which he clearly stated was the purchase of young and hungry players (he is on record as being against the risky Bony transfer).....we are attempting to sign a striker who will be 29 by the start of the season and spend at least as much money on the deal as the Bony deal.

Won't mind either Gylfi or Sinclair returning to us providing the price is right They know what we are about, just as Leon did, and would settle in quite quickly. I suppose the hope is that (again like Leon) our style is a close fit for them and they can produce their best form. At their best I would welcome them both but the gamble is, can they reproduce their best for us? Imo, worth the gamble if the money is right.

I'm reading today that Michu is being tipped to rejoin Michael Laudrup in Qatar. Would make sense if reports of Michu's unrest are true. I wouldn't blame him if he went and would sooner that move than one to a Premier League rival.

However, I'd be disappointed to lose him wherever he went. I think back to his first season with us when he was nothing short of awesome and a return to that sort of form would be priceless to us.

The question I'd like answered after reading this thread is whether or not Michu refused to play for us using his 'injury' as a smokescreen to get him out of playing or was he genuinely injured.
