At the age of 21 and barely any first team football behind him, could be a hindrance. I don't understand why kids go and sign for clubs like Chelsea where the chances to progress are very slim. I'm sure there was a documentary about the youth set up at Chelsea spending millions hoovering up talented youngsters, how many have made it into the first team? Next to zero. Abramovich is so wealthy and so desperate for success they don't have to wait for kids to develop into great footballers, they just go and buy the finished article from anywhere in the world. It could almost be argued that the youth set up at Chelsea is almost pointless. I would say John Terry was the last person to play regularly and come through the youth set up?

CORRECT. Good player when fit. On a free-bee he would be a good signing for us with a point to prove as well.

Good to see the first rumblings of discontent @ Leicester City on saturday and that after winning there first 2 games.

Michael Johnson @ LCFC looks to have been on the Jon PARKIN diet of late. Back to Woods, there is nowt to lose.

To be honest if I was an upcoming footy star, Think I would turn Chelsea down - NOT!

ps I know what you mean but imagine how excited he will have been when Chelsea came knocking

You'd stand a slightly better than zero chance at manure, but Chelsea just don't have a good youth record at all.

There's still some decent kids coming out of the Chelsea academy, most may not yet be making the Chelsea team, but some probably will. They've had very good players like Michael Mancienne and Fabio Borini who've ended up going elsewhere and I think the likes of Josh McEachran and Gaël Kakuta are in with a shout.

I reckon I'd turn down Chelsea if I was at a Championship club; the only big team I'd join would be Arsenal.

Considering our scouting team were ex-Chelsea and brought in the likes of Drogba I assume they may still have contacts there and would have heard good things. Win-win situation really with nothing to lose.

We've already got a thread on him Mussie, he didn't actually play for Notts County as far as I'm aware, he got injured shortly after arriving and didn't actually play for them.

apart from the first few bits of actions where he tackled well, the clip probably says more about his team mates than him
