    And you can't put Delaney on the list without at least a mention for Cort, it was the pairing that made them useful.

    whilst not many would dispute that Turner has been our best centre back for years, Pete Skipper and Stan McEwan were by far the best combo since the early 70's of John Kaye and Billy Baxter. Jack Hobbs and James Chester have the potential to be the best but only in time. Wayne Brown and Turner were good but had limitations as a pair. Hobbs and Chester can go onto be a great PL pairing in time, imo.
