I sometimes think that Dai does not the credit he deserves, most if not all his posts are football related. We might not agree with him but we all have our opinions.
Rarely ever agree with Dai but he should be allowed a voice on this forum. He only kicks off when forced into a corner. I wan't him to predict us to drop back down at the end of next season because whenever he makes predictions about us the opposite happens. Wonder if Laudrup is in the frame for Mankini's old job?
Fk me !....... joined up writing as well ......Fair play (only joking Dai ) But I will disagree that ALL chairmen are in it for the dosh - I think Jack Walker, Dave Whelan and Vince are/were in it for the love of their clubs .... even Roman aint gonna get back half what he's put in. And yes ...as for your last line 'until then its all speculation' , well thats what forums are for innit
I will be satisfied if both clubs can do the premiership justice next season and stay up, what we must do as supporters though is behave in a decent manner at home games and welcome our guests with respect....banter inside the ground with singing etc is all part of the fun and every club does it, but outside the ground is all about respect and i must say i have met some wonderful fans of all ages since we have been in the premiership and you realize they are just like us but support another club...... ...In all seriousness we must not give the throw the welsh teams out and into their own league brigade any ammunition......I think our away supporters have done an excellent job in Anglo relations so far and im sure cardiff will do the same......The premiership is where you want to be and you will notice the difference and the pleasure you get from going to some of the best stadiums in the world and not seeing any trouble to write home about......Its going to be a tough season for both teams even though we have an advantage on what to expect but im sure both teams will do well.........remember Banter is fine and tolerated but fighting and causing trouble is not and the premiership has everything in place to make sure fans enjoy the day win, lose or draw..........ps the drinks and pies are expensive also some away tickets are way over the top to what we are use too...
Any decent manager would be mad to take the Everton job. There is no money, they are a selling club with two of their best players likely to leave this summer, they occupy an antiquated stadium and have absolutely no prospect of finishing above 6th. In these circumstances any manager will be seen as a failure. Laudrup is a good manager on the evidence so far but he knows that problems lie ahead. Swansea have a small squad and with European games next season that will impact seriously on their league performance. Look what happened at Newcastle. If a decent club came along Laudrup will leave but not for Everton.
OR, manage an unfashionable club to a cup win then go on to win the league, a la Brian Clough. I certainly think ML's mindset isn't swayed by a hunger to move to a big club like Rodgers because he's won practically everything in Europe as a player. It looks far more impressive to take a smaller club with limited resources and play good football up there against the real big boys.
From this season on, the only way Everton are going to go is downwards. There is no way anyone other than a pure optimist or someone desperate for a "big club" job will take them on. With Moyes gone, they have little hope of challenging for a top 6 finish again with what they will be left with at the start of the season. Now if Laudrup (or anyone else for that matter) fancies his chances there after a successful stint at a smaller club with similarly limited resources, it would be a huge gamble. I still think that such is the hype around Malky at the moment, that he'd l jump in if he gets the offer. He likes a drink of water on the touchline, but I doubt he can walk on it. On the other hand, if Laudrup stayed put but was unable to improve the Swans position next season, he'd probably be cut a lot of slack because of the "small club" tag. At Everton, a similar scenario would be regarded as failure. Flirting with the relegation spots would mean he'd be out of a job well before the end of the season. BTW Uplands - nice to see you posting again. Still cross-dressing or have you had the operation now?.........
Not only did Laudrup say he was not interested, but his agent came out to and confirmed, maybe you convieniently missed it all, though it was in a dozen or so tabloids, but we'll forgive your oversight, besides there's a little matter of £10 million clause on Laudrup's head, which Everton cannot afford! How much compo for MM?.............................
10million pound on loudrops head>>>>.fking hell I thought he was brighter than that ......fairplay 2 old big nose he some how gets the contracts in Swansea`s favour.>>>>>>>.still cant believe that mickey is so fking dull as 2 stop any exit for a better and bigger club if they came calling.....cos they aint gonna pay that for a reserve cup winning manager with a mid table finish.
'Us fans are the only ones that are loyal to any club whatever anyone thinks, from the chairman, board, manager, staff and the players are all in the game for one thing only and that is Money......everyone of the latter mentioned will automatically have a price that would see them move on and that is the reality of the situation......' paul scholes, ryan giggs, neville, carragher, gerrard, wenger etc players are in it for money and success. some players care more about money, some success, some like bellamy have forgone huge amounts of money to play for their home town club.
Our Chairman did the job for almost 10 years before taking a salary. Of course he's in it for the money.
but he's just taken a share of the 2 million quid dividend before paying off historic creditors, top club innit.
I know it must be hard to see it, if my club was Cardiff I too would think my manager would want to jump ship at the first opportunity. But this is Wales' best club and ML is happy here, deal with it.
Wales best club ,Stupid jack ............................."THE" big Welsh club is there now so get back under that rock ...;O)
