100k a week. After he'd scored 24 goals and played a major role in us winning the league. He's since proven to be worth that. Bit different here. Keane has been decent for a side that will probably finish around 16th. Not to mention that they let him go for next to nothing a few years ago.
Longer term perhaps ... but Vards is on another of his scoring streaks right now ... and that doesn't include penalties or free kicks ... a striker that will consistently bag you double figures from open play is a priceless asset. Without the distraction of European competition next season I'm optimistic that we'll do better than this ... and Vards will weigh in with double figures again, I've no doubt.
I think that sort of money is better spent on a good young up and coming English cb than a relatively average striker who will slowly be losing his best asset. If he stays that is... Don't fancy he'll got double figures (PL) next season if with you anyway.
Wager time!! ... if he stays with us I'll have a nice little £10 charity bet that he will get double figures in the EPL?
Done Vardy has to get at least 10 league goals in 17/18 season yeah? To make it fair for you as well to cover against injury etc. we'll set a minimum appearances of say, 25? Both start and sub? Loser donates a tenner to a charity of winners choice. Sound good mate?
£25m is a good buy for United but they really need to be producing players like him in their academy.
I'm on the train with my mate who knows his agent. City and Liverpool were both in too, which explains the high salary.
Vardy was far from that when he was trying to run Ranieri out of the club and who is to say he won't be up to his old tricks again? The bloke is a bad egg
