When it was rumoured Dubes would be signing for us I was concerned this was a backwards step, that he was well past his best and Chris Wilder must have gone completely mad. Well I'd just like to apologise to Dubes, he has well and truly made me eat my words. I know its early in the season but this man is just the kind of player we've been missing and has been an excellent signing so far

I'm hoping to be singing the same tune for Whing

From corner’s and free kicks he’s powerful in the air, but pace is a real concern.

He’s second to every ball more than 5 yards away, S**mdon spotted this early and pumped every ball down the left side to get cross after cross in, it was only when Batt came on that we plugged this hole.

I’m hoping it could just be a fitness/fatigue issue that can be worked on….

All in good time browny. To be fair I wont be suprised if he does a good job for you. He is, after all, playing in a lower league with a lower standard of football. <party>

P.S You seemed to have changed your tune about us not being rivals. Do I take it from your 'im glad he was crap for Wycombe' comment that you are looking down the M40 with a slight tinge of jealousy. Ah bless :)

It is very funny indeed to see that ol' 50p head is supposedly doing alright at Oxford when he really wasn't up to scratch at Wycombe - by a mile. Just goes to show the massive gulf in quality in terms of where Wycombe are and where Oxford are.

He wasn't just a bit dodgy pace-wise for Wycombe, he was downright awful and we used to cringe when he got the ball. Anyway, I'm glad he's such a rock in your defence. Maybe his pace is what caused all the scorch marks in your pitch a little while ago :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Maybe Pittman shouldn't have been released if you're struggling upfront. To be honest he's not had a run in the side and gone on loan to Crawley. I was expecting big things from him this season
