A neighbour of mine has been commissioned to do some work on a new house in Jesmond.

The house will be completed by the end of the summer.

The owner who is moving in.....

Michael Carrick.

I'd love it if he was coming home for a final season to take us back up.

He would boss the **** out of midfield as well as making a perfect club captain.

He could be a good captain for us, exactly what we need.
Someone to steady the ship with a cool head.
In the event that Rafa doesn't stay on, he also be a good assistant for Giggsy...

Carrick's not tough enough for the Championship. We need someone to kick **** out of people. The Championship's like Rollerball on grass don't you know, so we need people who can kick people hard. MMA fighters and ex-SAS only.

Er are you sure its for him though? Just I know he has a lot of development interests in the area having bought up property in the town centre. Very astute business wise allegedly. It could just be another to add to his portfolio.

Yeah Carrick's too much of a luxury player - lovely passer but goes missing when things get tough.

Actually I think he's the opposite, when things get tough he's usually one of the first to step up. Our best games under Van Gaal have included Carrick almost every time, in our engine room.

The only time I've seen him lose it and go to **** is when he's been asked to play centre half or just back from injury.

It's a family home for him apparently mate.
it's straight from the horses mouth that one as he told the boss of the firm himself.

High quality. Why on earth would he come here, he'd have plenty of options. I don't think the "Newcastle" factor would be very significant.

I'd be more than happy to see him here, but can't see the fact of him building a house here as any indication. As Pouchy said, he's already got a business going that is based in Newcastle. Not sure from the OP if it is a new build house or just one being done up, but if he is building a house now it is more likely to be motivated by his business interests rather than a football move, especially since he would no doubt have had to purchase this house/land a while ago to be at the stage of having it completed by Summer, and can't see him having agreed to anything months ago when we had so much uncertainty. Unless it's not us he'll be playing for........

To add to that the only time I've seen him outclassed was against Barcelona in the Champions League finals, to suggest he's not tough enough for the Championship is a nonsense, they won't get close enough to him, he's not a spring chicken but his positional sense is brilliant.

It was a joke.

Rollerball - another quality film from my youth. Brilliant.
Would love Carrick to join, but just can't see him wanting to drop from Man Utd to Championship just like that.
