Meyler’s been great for us overall, but he’s been dreadful this season and has done nothing to warrant a starting place. And I’m pretty sure Dyche buys players based on their ability, rather than the fact that they don’t moan when not playing.
I never said Meyler should go there. I said Burnley could do worse than go for him. What’s good for a player and good for a club can be very different. But of course you ignore the goalkeeper situation here, many PL clubs - nay all - have very capable, very well paid players who know they are almost certain to never play a PL game and their attitude when filling this role is paramount.
That would be a valid point if we were talking about a random ****house off the street. But we weren’t, we were talking about an international, in his peak years, with 100+ Premier League appareances to his name I recently read a very thought provoking article in a good publication - which I can’t find - regarding Stuart Taylor, who talked about knowing his role at a club. He signs for them fully in the knowledge that he’s unlikely to start a PL game and it’s his role to be there in a crisis, ready to play, and in the meantime it is up to him to Uber professional around the dressing room, full of beans, always positive and passing on his experience. Waste of money.
Went there in 76 when Wee Ginger Billy was on our team and we got a draw. We were on the Long Side, split down the middle by the iron railings, I recall some Halifax Town fans on their side of the great divide getting abused from our side because these Yorkies had chosen to side with the Clarets. So much for We're all Yorkies aren't we? It started getting very fractious with stuff getting lobbed back and forth including a bottle or two, and then Burnley fans getting dragged out as the 'Bob Lord oot' chanting started getting more aggressive. They disappeared up their own arses with all this, and a peaceful stroll back to the fire station ensued. Think we had about 6 or 7 buses there that day, no vans, almost non in car. National, some Humberside Supporters, maybe a Driffield bus and that was your lot. Statutory bombardment with rotting soft fruit as we past Todmorden market on the way back.
Why is it? He isn’t consistent enough to be a good Premier League player anymore. He’s been poor this season in the Chanpionship. Where is this Premier League idea coming from?
Dreadful!!! This is just bollocks. He's had some poor games in a poor side but no more than henriksen Aina etc. It's just give a dog a bad name on here. Have a defeat, that ****ing Meyler. The defence gift three goals, that ****ing Growshitski is ****.
you're wasting your time - he's ****ing clueless - he claimed Junior was the best central defender in the UK outside the top six in the Prem - that's why he's languishing on the bench in League 1 - nobody in the Prem or the Championship wanted him, even as a bench warmer - now he's doing the same with Meyler - he totally ignores the fact that his pass success rate is around 40% - he ignores his stupid sending off against Norwich which cost us 2 points, he ignores his 9 minutes against Ipswich at home which cost us 2 points when he turned his back on a challenge and they equalised in the last minute, he ignores the 17 minutes he 'played' against Bristol when they scored 2 goals and cost us 3 points when his weak tackle led to their winner - he ignores the stupid penalty he gave away against Forest in the closing minutes resulting in a loss of 3 2 - other notables are blasting the ball into his own net against Brenford and his dreadful penalty against Chelsea - the list goes on and on Meylers been ok previous seasons, a good bench warmer behind the likes of Livermore and Huddlestone but this season he's been shocking - cant remember whether it was Preston or Bolton away where his first 9 passes went to the opposition - he doesn't deserve a start on his playing contribution this seaso and its the right decision not to renew his contract - he's been a good loyal squad player for us but he's definitely passed his sell by date
And you are as thick as ****ing pigshit. I doubt you are even actually a City fan with some of the gormless ****ing ****e that dribbles from your keyboard. Dopey ****.

I do love polls such as these. The idea that clubs are queuing up to take our poor performers on massive wages is comedic dynamite. Furthermore I don’t even know where to start with the idea of selling players with 3 months left of their contract when we’re outside a transfer window. Those people with ‘a ****ing clue’ about football, eh?
Well, on the basis that I was quoting somebody who said it was ****e that he was a good championship player and a poor premier league one, I’ll leave you to answer that.
Well some are leaving anyway and people know that, I've still no doubt that Dawson didn't just leave for Nottingham on his own without advice from the club. Ehab is really laughing at people there. And at this point we have no idea how well Odubajo will recover. At the same time with his injuries we know he is going nowhere.
If someone said ‘it’s ****e’ that ‘he’s a poor premier league player’ that doesn’t mean he’s a good premier league player.
