If we lose Aluko and sign two strikers it's not so bad is it? We'd have Simpson, Proschwitz, McLean, AN Other x2, not forgetting the injured Fryatt to return. I think we just need the one unless we do offload McLean, otherwise you just end up with an abundance of strikers (Six in the first team) and a waste of money. Then of course Aluko would return, so you'd have seven first team forwards competing for two spaces. The keeper situation is ok, as by the time January comes around Oxley will be fit again. If they try and buy Stockdale fair enough. A RWB woud be hard to find as there aren't too many kicking about; I think we'd have to look at Spain or Italy where they seem to be more common.

I would sign Elmo in January, whatever the price. However, I wouldn't be to wooried if we lost Meyler, as I don't think, apart from McKenna and Oli, he is better then any of the midfielders we have now TBH!

Cairney will be back soon also.
How come everybody is now certain Aluko is going to Africa cup of Nations.
Not sure of the qualifiers but wasnt Oli there last time also?

If your in need of Meyler then your deffo going down. From what ive seen Sunderlands problems make the need for a RVP, Messi and Ronaldo trio-combo to dig you out. Bottom 3 by saturday night then is it ?

A typical PL player then. Nearly all of them are at it at some point in a game.

    Indeed.

    /
How about Jim Montgomery, Vic Halom, Mick Horswill and Ian Porterfield just to add some balance ?

Does he want to go back ? By january the Sunderland ship could be well under the water line.

If what you say has any ****ing truth then let him. Maybe the Sunderland bench is comfier but i would be surprised to see him start games.

By the way MON has not made up his mind yet. It could be January or the loss of another midfileder before he is recalled.

We're not in need of a goalkeeper, Mignolet is brilliant. Ian Portafield is dead so he's probably more suited to your team !

I don't particularly rate Meyler but needs must at the moment. Don't concern yourself, I don't think we are going to sink, It's just that we're having a problem keeping afloat at the moment !

I see that you're starting to splutter in recent matches, par for the course with Brucie, runs out of ideas and steam !

Some splutter. We may not have managed to beat Palace, but it was probably our best footballing performance of the season, the only issue was Koren uncharacteristically missing from six yards out(and the rest of the team failing to find the net despite seventeen shots on goal).

I think Sunderland are doing us a good favour at the moment, after watching Myler the other night i thought he did well and is starting look good, He adds height and wins headers which in our shorty team we need, Elmo has also done really well for us and the way our forwards are not scoring we might need a bit more help from Sunderland so for me i think it would be nice to see both clubs start winning again. Up the Tigers<ok>

My concern is MoN. He's under pressure and may 'walk' of his own accord . It wouldn't be the first time.

That would mean a new manager an new managers tend to want to assess ALL players which would mean re-calls for Elmo, Meyler
and more then likely scupper any Campbell move.

Sorry lads, i would apologise, but i don't know this lad, nor has he posted enough on our own board, to be able to cast an opinion...Seems a bit of a cock imo..

I personally don't want Meyler back at this time...He needs game, and your club seems the perfect place for him at the moment to gain this, so i wish him and yourselves the best of luck...

As for Elmo, from what i have read, you lads like him..Hopefully you will get the best out of him, we did not..

Seems like a Cilla's blind date, match made in heaven....Wishing the pair a long and happy relationship..

If memory serves me right, our friend superblackcat is an East Yorkshire resident.

According to our local radio station today, O'Neil has now confirmed that he's looking to recall Meyler, it's a shame really, he had his first decent game for us on Tuesday.
