If it gets carded it can't be assessed later. If he had received a yellow for the stamp he would have been sent off and probably missed one game and it'd be fine.

Actually, so long as the referee has jotted the incident down in his notes it is considered as 'dealt with'.

Deserves everything he gets for being a better player than Meyler?

The guy stamped on his shin, he's getting banned mate, no matter how much you lot are prepared to defend your player. He's not playing in that cup final because he's a jealous player with no integrity, it's his own fault. The worst part is he himself has had long term injuries in the past that he's had to overcome, what a pathetic little prick he is.

You're saying Meyler did this out of Jealousy? What a load of bollocks I'm not getting into whether he did it intentionally or not (for my point I don't think he did) I do think he will get banned so it doesn't matter. Ultimately Meyler didn't do that because of Jealousy and a lack of integrity... you could only comment on that if you knew the bloke ffs

Why are you trying to reason with a Man Utd fan?

He's found a more suitable audience for his bias elsewhere anyway:

The thing is, as the same with George Boyd - that is slowed down, so it makes it look like he's left his foot there longer than he actually has.

    I've seen a real-time version too, and it's a split-second thing. Blink and you'd miss it.

Not deliberate for me. I don't see how he could have avoided it without doing a comedy spandex metal scissor kick. Ye cannae change the laws of physics.

    Clumsy? Sure.

    Deliberate? Nope.

Not only did OLM go last night, but even if he's back in Hull now he'll be a lot closer to the Theatre of Screams than most Man Utd fans. Plastic FC.

You can die whenever you want, so can that cheating little runt Adnan Janudive. The pathetic little prick was up to his usual theatrics and trying to get Meyler sent off because he's a jealous player with no integrity. Thank god for a strong ref who could deal with it accordingly, but the ****house rolling around on the floor should have been booked for his disgusting play acting.

When I first saw it I thought it would be difficult to prove that he meant it, even though I think he probably did! However after seeing it again I feel that that even if he was going for the ball it was still a dangerous challenge! Why would you want to step on the ball like that????? Maybe going for the ball whilst hoping to hurt the player as well???? Either way, its deserving of a ban!

At what point did the ref blow for a foul, too?

If he's blown for a foul and Januzaj has then kicked the ball away, it's his own fault.

I feel sorry for you, enjoy being bang average for years to come. Trust me it's great when you get that rare away win against a big side like Arsenal
