Maybe so but the fact is they're still chavs. They could be classy like ourselves and live in the West Hull villages.
Little story for you scooter boys, when i was travelling back to the UK last month I met a lone scooterist on North Sea Ferries sailing into Hull. He had been to an international Lambretta rally in Austria. His scoot was a 1960's C plate I think and the side panels where painted Union Jack the rest was whitish. The rider was about 60 and has a steel fabrication works in the old dockland, some of you may know him. He said there were 5 or 6 all planning to go but one by one the others dropped out so he said he decided to go alone. The guy must have had balls as big as coconuts. Oh and he was a none drinker.
A complete non story. imo. So what David Meyler has been banned from driving. He is not the first nor will he be the last by any means. He can afford to employ a chauffeur during the ban ffs.
I actually got off twice, once for doing over 100 on the M1(when it turned out I was Mother Teresa) and once when I was on nine points and got nicked for speeding on the way back from Scotland(Hearts pre-season) and I called on the services of this mob, who had a fairly accurate web address... http://www.wewillgetyouoff.com/
This twat has been given points on multiple occasions and who know how many times he got away with it. His other plea was that he will be visiting his GF. More often now she is up stick
Would you ride a 1960's scooter 800 miles to Austria and back alone? They're not the most reliable of things.
I was going to say he was brave, but that would have put Patty on my case because only things like people running into burning buildings are brave. Then I thought i would put, I doffed my cap to his adventouriousness ( made that word up ) but remembered I was wearing a helmet, and didn't want to put I doffed my helmet to him. Then I remembered the old saying It takes balls to do that, and what with his adventouriousness I presumed he must have balls and big ones at that. I been away a long time, do you not use that expression any more?
Good stuff. I got stopped doing 110 on the M1 near Nottingham in our last championship season but the copper reduced it to 85mph as he was about to go off duty and he said he had had a good day. A close shave from a ban.
Sorry man, I have a few days off work so I've smashed a few beers. I might even get the whiskey out. Sod it, I am going to get the whiskey, pray for me...
A vespa would have no problem I did holiday in Holland ( venlo ) Rally a few times going via Dover as I was meeting up with southern based mates . Vespas are mega reliable.
