Any up and coming manager would probably look at the Sunderland job as a poison chalice, our turnover of managers is horrific, not sure we would be the pick of many good candidates.
Ranieri has just said he wants to come straight back into management. I wanted him when he was first sacked by Chelsea and I would still have him now.

Yeh that's what's been happening over the years
We can't get out of the rut
But we must keep trying
But do you seriously like watching this garbage that's dished up just so you can say you are in the prem we won about three times as many games under LMc when he got us relegated as we have in the last 3 seasons.

There's no way I want us in the fizzy pop league
That's just not the answer at all

Totally agree Norton. All I was asking was who's out there with 10 games to go.

I don't see Short replacing Moyes with someone like Rowett who's never managed at this level and who can rescue our season
Short hasn't got the foggiest what he's doing anyway.
But I think at this stage if you bring anyone in it is on the basis that they will be preparing next season's promotion challenge. If they were lucky enough to keep us up then that's a bonus.

We still have a good chance of staying up though

Poyet and Di Canio did it with no previous experience :emoticon-0148-yes:

I would love to have Ranieri at Sunderland, very good manager and absolutely top bloke. It'd be nice to win the league too.

Looks like I'm the only one who wants to keep moyes.
The fact is we just can't keep changing managers
Let's just stick with him for a few seasons
I can't see at this stage another manager making any difference

What makes you see that Vince when its worked the last 4 times?
I just feel we need to stick with him
It's been tough for him taking over the way he did and with the injuries
I feel things may come together for him soon
I think we will stay up then rebuild for next year
Just my opinion though

Lets hope you are right mate.

Just a reminder that we have tried up and coming managers in Keane, Poyet and DiCanio that had to go as they were not producing. Similarly with experienced ones in Bruce and Hiidink.

After their initial successes they did not eventually produce much. Allerdyce we will never know if we could have kicked on or not.

The rest of the season is in our hands and we just have to hope that returning players can boost the team but either way we should keep Moyes for some time to come to stabilise us one way or the other.

Correct

Vince I agree with you mate. To some extent.

I'm sick of changing managers almost every bloody season with 10-12 games to go.

At the moment I don't think Short will get rid of Moyes. And that would be a first for him. Not sacking the boss with a dozen games to go.

At the same time of all the managers he has got rid of, I think this one is the least likeliest of all of those before him who could bring us back up first time.

That's what depresses me most about our current situation. I think we'll go down this time, Short will stick with Moyes and he isn't the man to bring us back up straightaway.
