From Tim Vickery's last blog "Colombian striker Jackson Martinez, 25, who plays for Jaguares in Mexico, is being tipped for a big-money move to Europe this summer. What are your thoughts? Oliver Serrant He's quick, sleek and uncomplicated. A thoroughly proficient front to goal finisher. My doubt is about his touch and overall approach play. He doesn't offer much else, so if he gets a move and he's not scoring early then confidence could slump." Sounds like a player who stays in the box and looks to score goals. With all the chances we create a player of this nature could do some good.
Been bored a couple of times and ended up betting on Jaguares amongst other teams so have ended up watching some of their games this year. Remember one game in particular where Martinez played absolutely quality, and he's probably the only player from those games that i remember by name. Honestly the guy was a monster (though admittedly that was one game). Some fans want the perfect player. Personally i'd be excited at the though of a fast powerful player who goes for goal. To me he looks like what Ryan Babel should have been for us.
