I honestly thought with no football for Charlton, the regime would enjoy the silence There has been little good when they have opened their collective mouths, and Murray telling us better communications were coming seems a bit silly. But no. They can't sit back and wait for the protest, they have to go one step further and goad people. You'd think after what happened in Brussels last week, Belgian owners might think twice about wasting pólice time over a protest that involved beach balls being thrown on the pitch and a 74th minute walk out (You might have also thought Scotland Yard might have thought twice before giving them the time of day too) when most European countries are desperately trying to stave off the next massacre, but no, a semi threatening statement in which various unconnected actions are nicely mixed (a fan trying to punch the Crystal Palace Eagle - are they saying that was an Anti Roland statement or that all fans are hooligans deep down?) to give the impression that the Valley is a hotbed of seething anarchy. If things were that bad, poor Katie would be watching the games in Roland's bunker, not prancing up Floyd Road with a couple of henchmen. It says plenty that Murray still feels he should stand shoulder to shoulder with them now that the fans are officially the enemy, but there are those on here who saw this coming way back when. These idiots are rattled, and there is no going back. The bridges are burnt, the knives are out, and there's a fixture this weekend. Standby for the next installment of 'What Katie did next'.
The Regime just stumbles from one disaster to the next. What other club would VOLUNTARILY report its customers to the police ...in the same week as asking the same people for season ticket money to watch League One football If it wasn't so serious, it would be borderline comical. Compare the way Liverpool's owners handled their fans recent protests, with this mob.
I used to think that at least Roland wasn't the worst owner in the League, the Oystons were worse, but now I think Roland has drawn level with them, and will soon forge ahead. We must be the only club to openly declare war on its fans. To put it another way, the only business to declare war on its customers. Richard Murray should be ashamed of himself for still backing them.
When he joined the Duchatelet Circus as Chief Yes Man and Arse Licker, we were told that Murray was 'the link to the fans" Murray has lost his voice AGAIN this week
It is another of Meire's "Ratners Moments" - although in fairness to Gerald Ratner, he only slagged off his customers the once. She does it every week.
I did find CARD's latest statement today buttock-clenchingly pious. "Oh no, don't associate US with that nasty bird puncher" etc Rich Pemberton & Ben Tegg dripped all over that.
Vote Mike Stone for poty got to be done . Murray is. As much a dick as the other two can't stand smithers
Attempted bird puncher the Eagle was not touched or harmed in anyway. So IMHO a total waste of taxpayers money In fact the owner of the bird and CPFC should be held accountable, putting a bird of prey and wild animal in such a dangerous place, knowing the hatred between both sets of fans
Agree mate the bird owner should be locked up and beaten at regular intervals and the bird not allowed to suffer goin to that crap hole ever again
Find it hard to believe that it's been referred to a Crown Court. He entered a "no plea" to "attempted punching of a bird" which is what the case was about. The fact that no one got hurt as a consequence, probably only his reputation, is absurd. The only thing he should be on trial for is STUPIDITY. As that's what he is. A god'damned moron.
Ben Tegg [CARD hand wringer-in-chief] describes himself on his Twitter page as a "Football Do Gooder" FFS
He actually used our CEO's phrase "You're not helping" to a fellow protester last friday, whom he deemed to be a bit OTT in his protests!
At the Boro game he openly rebuked fellow fans who sang the Katrien songs. The ultimate irony was that he did this from the steps on the West Stand, not from amidst the protesters themselves. Another CARD example of 'do as I say, not as I do'...
