Charlie not able to afford new trousers yet. As an aside, do you have a fans liaison officer that could deal with certain things?
Poor lad is completely overworked and it's blunting his ability to do what he does best. At the very least, he needs an admin team underneath him to manage all the emails/messages etc He could do a lot more with this club, but they don't seem to want to help him
They bought the club using a fair bit of the club's money. All they did was slash things. Anyone can do that. The hard bit is to skilfully re shape a business while retaining the core and keep it running properly. They had neither the money, skill or interest to do that. They completely gutted the club, sold excellent young players for pennies (and would have sold others), let the infrastructure corrode and probably drove the club near to going bust. Those two have no redeeming features at all IMO. It felt as if we had escaped from being kidnapped and held in a dark wet, underground cell when their rancourous reign ended. Horrible chancers the two of them.
The flip side to that is Ellis short wiped out 100s millions of debt owed to him. So essentially we became debt free by using 20million of our parachute payment. Do I think it was snidey the way they done it? Yes. But it did make us more attractive to potentially better owners.
I dont believe he offered that deal to everyone and was just happy to dump us on the 2 chancers, I think Gordon Armstrong was linked to a consortium and alluded to it at the time, the tall Texan just surrendered, pity he forgot about The Alamo
Criminal a club of your size being in the doldrums for so long, one constant when looking at other similar sized clubs is bad ownership.
thing is, there are many that would welcome a 'euro super league' as long as it meant they are kept well away from domestic competitions but the problem is that they want it all. we might then see a fairer league system, hopefully without the over-dramatised reactions to fouling, and get back to watching lads play football again...every club welcomes rich owners but it does not always work out as they wish.
One of the biggest fixes in the English game ... ... Wimbledon, and particularly the keeper, we're investigated but nothing was done.
Remember that, stood out a mile as fixed. I suppose Everton could have been innocent, more likely Wimbledon doing some dodgy bets.
