The whole thing still smells of rotten fish to me. Not convinced by the yanks until we hear directly from one of the owners. It’s not difficult. Remove the cloak and speak up. Employ directly the actual smt without the need for a snitch lurking around grassing up the staff. Wouldn’t be needed if they were prepared to be hands on. However massively relieved that CM has taken up his new opportunity in the Caribbean.
Not very clear. What do they own 6% each? How many owners do we have with less than 5%? None,thousands? Who knows.
I might add that it’s not clear for a reason. They don’t want us to know. There’s no other reason to hide the truth from us leaving us guessing.
It’s such a complex & muddled ownership structure. They are nothing more than money lenders, here for the wrong reasons. I am more convinced of it by the day. Meanwhile, the clock is steadily ticking down on the lease on the club’s former assets.
Are they? Or are we just accumulating more and more debt owed to them? That seems to be the way they structure ownership these days.
If they were just lending Methven the money, and now Methven has gone, who are they lending the money to?
I pine for the days of Roger Alwen & Mike Norris - two modest and unassuming English gentlemen & proper Charlton fans - people who genuinely cared about the club.

The club of course. It’s the club that gets loaded up with debt with nobody on the hook. The Douche, banjo man and the current mob (l assume) only loaned money to the club. Taking a haircut to sell on was an option for previous owners and likely the same for the current incumbents. Time will tell. Hopefully if we go up then our chances of a decent transparent ownership will increase.
Totally agree, championship football and being a promotion away from the 'money league' will hopefully make us more attractive for our owners/future interest.
The accounts for 23/24 have been released and do not make good reading. An amount of 1.9 million was paid to various execs here. F*** knows how much Methven trousered.
