Ozil stats for this season in Prem: Played 5, 1 goal and 1 assist
Cesc stats for this season in Prem: Played 6, 0 goals and 6 assists

    Just a little perspective.

And the goal and assist came within 2 minutes of each other.

So really... it's 4 games and 88 minutes of no goal contributions ;)

I'm all for being positive but some people need to get some perspective. Ozil has underperformed so far and needs to up it big time.

He's been one of our best players in our last couple of games. I think he is coming back into form after a slow start to the season.

I don't doubt that he is coming into some form but he is one the best players in the world, so expectations are rightfully high. He is a player we are relying on to pull off some major performances this season, so hopefully he will sustain a constantly high level from now on.

To be honest the last two games I have thought he was man of the match. The Spurs game was the first time I thought he had a game by the scruff of the neck. I just think he lacked quality around him, Welbeck and Ox looked like they tired badly, and we lacked penetration from anyone else.

Despite all the calls for a DM, I think we still need a better #9, or Giroud back! He used to knock opposing CBs around, and make them unhappy, Kabul seemed to have free rein to get in the way at the week-end, without worry. Giroud might not have scored, but Kabul would have known he had been in a battle!
