I know this is quite out there but I think, think, that maybe Clarkson could do a good job of presenting F1. He has shown when he has presented documentaries or more serious films on Top Gear that he can be serious and present well, he is also a better interviewer than Jake, and he does watch F1. He also knows how to have a bit of banter without ruining the moment à la Jake style. Just thought I would throw that curve ball out there.
i'd get bored of "and welcome to spa, the greatest track............ in the world" "and did you see how early he got on the powweerrrrr"
Good point, i watched a documentary he did about the war, and he was excellent on it. Plus the senna tribute he did on top gear was good too.
Best Driver: Vettel/Button Worst Driver: Liuzzi Best Rookie: di Resta Best Team: Red Bull Worst Team: HRT Best Overtake: Button v Hamilton and Schumacher/Vettel v Alonso Funniest-moment: ? Most Surprising Result: McLaren under-gearing both cars. Then again, perhaps this should be "least surprising"! Least Surprising Result: Schumacher's driving Special Mention to: Rosberg: he should have featured in the race for more than his start and had a good chance to pull a big surprise. Race Rating: 8.7/10 Best BBC commentator/presenter: Brundle: as ever - superbly professional. Worst BBC commentator/presenter: Lee McKenzie is a waste of TV Licence payer's money. Best Commentary moment: None stand out. Overall BBC coverage rating: 9/10
Senna is not a rookie. He has experience in this series before this season. That is all 'rookie' (or not) means. HRT are a team which compete in this series, regardless of their ability; and taking part in a race provides very valuable experience, simply by being out on the track!
Because his HRT last year was soo unreliable and more like a GP2 car than an f1 car. Hence the experience he gained was minimal. Plus he have been away for 10 months after that which almost nullifies whatever little he learned last year. Its almost like playing with your rubber duck wouldn't give you any experience with sailing across the atlantic. lol well maybe not that big diff but still
Ok, you are right in a way. To be fair this is NOT his rookie season. His rookie season was last year and over. However, even though his rookie season is over, I still consider him being a rookie because of the lack of experience of a real F1 Car just as i will probably still call Ricciardo a rookie next year as well.
Hahaha… Thanks Cowboy; you're right! Obviously something about his driving is affecting my subconscious. But you're right. I've now edited my rookie 'award'.

Cosicave : 'Worst BBC commentator/presenter: Lee McKenzie is a waste of TV Licence payer's money.' Rather unfair - and lovely eye-candie - lets face it we have more than enough of EJ - DC and Jake.
