Currently, yes. Barcelona have absolutely no need to sell him, no matter what the offer. So why would they?

They're financially secure, already have an awful lot of income, and no club in the world could currently offer them the money needed to prize him away. If someone offered £1bn, they might consider it, but no club is in the position to do so, so I'd call him priceless.

Ronaldo was £80m
Man City bid £100m for Kaka in his prime.
Messi is better than both of these players, and younger and more important to his style of play + Barcelona don't need to sell and he loves playing for them.
At the moment he isn't going to go anywhere but with a different manager playing him in the wrong system (In a similar style as Argentina) and I think a 120m bid might swing it.

Now here's a different perspective, who is more valuable to their respective team, Holt or Messi?

Xavi is "more valuable" to Barca than Messi...

nice try, PC, putting Holt and Messi in the same sentence...

<laugh><laugh><laugh>

shut you trap.

Holt dicks all over your shambles of a team, dickwad

messi isnt best player of all time there is several still ahead of him. zizou is ledge

ipswich = see you next tuesdays ****ing ****ers

WloH - I know you are defending our team, but don't go too far overboard, just remember nearly everyone said Holt wouldn't cut it in the Championship last year! I prefer opponents to think badly of Holt, it works in our favour. 1p5wich are entitled to their opinion of Holt, just as we think £10 million for CWick is a huge joke, so just calm down a bit, you've been an excellent contributor on our boards lately, please don't spoil it. <ok> <cheers>

I'm not saying hes not a talisman he leads by the front. But if the Championship really is his level and he cannot cope with the PL then we cannot just see him as a fixture in the first 11 because he 'deserves' his chance in the PL. All im saying I can just see after 2-3 months Holt not being apart of the first 11 'IF' he cannot find his feet.

Sure I can be wrong and he bangs in a hattrick on the opening day..... but what is the solution if he cant get his form back? People were getting on his back at the start of the season because he wasnt scoring like league 1..... if he makes a slow start then thier will be even more talk because where in the PL

Sure, it's important that, as a striker he gets the goals, but surely it's more important that he plays a his part in the team?
If he hasn't scored in the first 5 or 6 games, but has set up, say 60% of city's goals that win us games or gets us even a point, then do you drop him beacuse he hasn't scored?
