I apologise for suggesting that Messi had made this suggestion in order to push Barca to give him a new, improved contract. I was clearly and obviously wrong. He did it as part of the Barcelona squad's "we're not tax dodgers, we're persecuted victims!" narrative, which Neymar's dad contributed to today. Everyone's out to get them. They've done nothing wrong. Honest.
