How have I got to this point in my football watching career, and never known about this rule. But there it is, in FA law 13 or whatever! I'm sticking to netball from here on in.
See this to me is just a sign of the confidence the guy has. Apparently they add 10K to the 147 break prize at each tournament so he thought he would wait until it had built up a bit more. I do the same with the hole in one prizes in golf, and have been soing for the last 20years.
O' Sullivan said a few years ago that he had to keep playing because there was hardly any of his winnings left so it's bizarre that he is turning down money. To be honest, as great a player as he is, he's just a bit thick.
