V surreal atmosphere at the game, there were 'only' 70000 ish there, which in a 98000 stadium made it feel quite empty, and the shape of the place seems to let all of the atmosphere escape, and yeah, the fans, very little singing, only kicking off at every little foul
I was lucky enough to see Barcelona and Messi at their best back in 2011 while on holiday over there for my birthday, in a 3-0 win over Atlético Madrid. As others have said, the Nou Camp atmosphere is, superb, but bloody weird. But whenever Messi gets the ball, everyone just stops and focuses intently. Found the highlights here - take note, Messi doing a great Greg Docherty impression for the first goal... I also saw them play Arsenal at the Emirates in the Champions League when a mate from uni invited me once. Barca won 2-0 and Messi scored both that day too - annoyingly being sat among Arsenal fans kinda dampened it a bit, even though I was delighted with them losing.
