do you think he is better than vorm or tremmel then???? because it takes more than a few outstanding saves to make a a great keeper because any keeper can make a good save like marshal has done in the last couple of games. It happens all the time. you have to be consistent and as you are down the bottom as everyone's favorite with fulham to go down with one of the worst goal differences in the league then he obviously is not consistent enough is he....The lad is certainly not good enough for the swans ....

do you get a kick out of going against the grain?

forget swansea he'd get into much better sides than that. you'll have 25000+ cardiff fans disagreeing with you dai. he's won us countless points, just because we've conceded goals doesnt mean its down to him, we would have conceded far more goals with vorm or tremmel in our goal.

We need not worry about Swansea. Our worry should be about our own team.

It's been a while since you posted this level of garbage on our board. Tremel is not even PL standard, did you watch the Everton game? If you'd had Marshall in goal you'd have won.
    Vorm's a decent keeper when he's fit.

I'm happy to oblige on this one Spark. <ok>
To a degree Sam is right assuming what we are being told is the truth, but if Malky and Moody were culpable then why has Teflon escaped punishment. However if you wanted to be seen as an injured party would you want Sam Hamman fighting your cause? <laugh>

The key phrase in all this for me is corporate governance. There should be ethical standards and best practice already in place to prevent such circumstances arising in the first place.

Not a fan of Sam the sham but I agree with this......

What do you want someone like Mr Lim or Mr Tan to do?" Hammam asked. "These are not people who grew up in football and who know football inside out.

"They have hired a manager and paid him well to do the job and they took his advice.

Managers take credit when they do well with players and they should take the blame when they don't.

"The CEO is not a football man. He doesn't know whether certain amounts should be paid in wages or paid to buy players. This is why they hire a manager."

The CEO should understand the business he works in because ultimately isn't he the one signing off the cheques? Managers can make mistakes when identifying potential players but they don't sign cheques as far as I'm aware.

Swamp, take no notice of Dai Swan, now ML has gone he is back onside with the Swans board, wait a few more games and he will be after Monk's head and back praising Cardiff.

Agreed but who is the expert regarding the value of the player. The fact the CEO or whoever has £10m to spend on a striker doesn't make that a mistake. Spending it on a pub player is the mistake and that was apparently MM's decision backed by Moody.

Can you imagine the backlash if the manager and head of recruitment (football experts) were told no for football reasons by a business man with no more than a fans knowledge of the game?

The two M's knew that and took advantage of that fact, we were told my Moody & Malky that they make dossiers for every player the go after to make sure they are the right type of player etc.

The fact that these dossiers were found wanting should be enough to get them the sack.

The statement is consistent with the running of the club - a joke.

Agree 100% that a CEO should understand the business he's involved in, but Lim didn't and to that extent Tan is as culpable as anyone for appointing him.

That doesn't make the Malky/Moody cockup any better from their own perspective. They were appointed to do a job which they ****ed up. Lim should have been able to rely on their judgement as football "experts" - the fact that he obviously did has cost the club financially big time. That's no excuse for the two "experts" to be dealt with in the manner they were - both sacked for their failings as would happen in any other business.

The fact remains that "cheque signing" is a complete sideshow to the issue. Tan and Lim relied on others who failed. Tan obviously knew the problem existed, hence the appointment of Dalman. Sam (for once) is spot on correct.

However, I do agree that Lim should also be removed on the basis that he is obviously not sufficiently au fait with football as a business - his presence at the club seems pointless.

Mate i have to agree with you on Tremmel. But Vorm is every bit the Keeper Marshall is, Lets not forget he is the current Dutch keeper. Marshall has had a great season for you. But, in all fairness he has had to with that awful back four in front of him. we can all make comment about other team players, but in truth how do we compare them. How many times have you seen Vorm play a full game, we watch him every week (when fit) and the same for us with regard to Marshall.

All in all i agree Marshall has had a good season.

I've repeatedly said I can't understand how Lim avoided a bullet. You can't blame Lim for MM signing duds, why would he know. His cock has to be on the block for a £15m overspend though. Irrespective of the business, any CEO should know when you've spent your allocated money. It's not hard. You had a budget of £30m, you've spent £28m, you've got £2m left. You're now asking for £8m for your next signing, sorry you only have £2m left, you can't have him. Lim obviously can't do maths so is incompetent and should go!

I think all if most of us agree with that remote as the thread says he's made of Teflon. I think he's still in his job until the MM money thing is done.
