Watching the game yesterday on the telly it was so obvious that the players looked lost. It was never going to be an easy game against Chelsea, but once again SB's tactics were clueless. I leave you with this thought:

"IT was an American, General George S Patton, who offered the following tactical observation: "No-one ever defended anything successfully, there is only attack and attack and attack some more."

I totally agree mate! The stats show that we don't win at home with only one up front, and this is the biggest gripe I have with Bruce...However, rather than change managers, I'm hoping that this will eventually sink in with Bruce and he will be more adventurous in future home games.

I put it to you that you should get yourself to the game and support the lads instead of being an armchair fan and claiming to know better. What would you have done then? What brilliant tactics was Bruce too inept to see? I can think of one, he should have played Vaughan cuz we need to retain the ball better, Bruce played the best team he could after Gyan dropped us in the s hit, we played a team with a striker on the bench who cost more than our first 11, we were always gonna be outplayed, I despair with how knee jerk our fans are some times

in jac`s defense, he does live in Denmark according to his profile, so a bit hard to get to the games from there.

Its not the getting beat that was the problem

The problem was how we never gave them a game
The problem was we could not beat Brighton
The problem was we did not have a striker to score against Newcastle when we were on top
The problem was he never saw the Gyan debacle coming when everyone else could
The problem was we needed a striker and never got one

Im only worried if he goes who we get i do not want another Wilkinson and we cannot afford to pay Bruce off and pay another club for a compensation package for their manager

MON, Hughes and Moyes would all want a transfer kitty have we got one big enough

I do not want a set of chicken farmers to by the club or another Carson yeung.

I hope the team settles down in the next 3 games.

who is this Patton chap, is he in work and how much would he cost us, come on Quinny, get him signed up.

BTW, poor ****ing excuse for not going to games, Denmark, Bendy made it

Patton was wrong, I seem to remember a farm house at Waterloo which was defended to the hilt by a certain British regiment of fine northern lads which was pivotal in the victory. Also remember a certain village in Africa which was defended by a small contingent of fine Welsh lads. So defence when properly organised and utilised can be a winner.

MrRAW, Its got to be 4-4-2 or 4-4-3 at home. Would rather get beat 3-0 trying than hoist the white flag prior to kick off. Hoping, like yourself SB realises this.
I think it may be too late now tho. Losing the fans, players etc.
