For some reason our fans get carried away and start thinking we're a successful club that's above the likes of Everton.. who are btw a far bigger and more successful club. I had a feeling this would happen and I've no doubt the same deluded bunch will fall into the very same trap again soon... .maybe away at Luton. There are no easy games.
If we lose against Sunderland he can **** off lol. None of that "lets be cheery northerners bollocks" lose against Sunderland and Newcastle managers should be under extreme pressure from then on. Surprised Pardew survived so long with his form against them. No excuses to lose against them and if we do he can just walk. Hughton wasn't the best manager we ever had, but is a legend because he beat Sunderland. It's our only must win fixture, we have been in 3 cup finals in like 20 years lol. If you can't get this 11 players up for a game against Sunderland, or play the B team, goodbye. Back to Bournemouth for you bro.
The way it goes is that if the team.does well they make out like Howes using a control pad and is actually turning water into wine, but if we lose they blame the players. Which is it ?
Managers motivate players but ultimately the 11 are responsible. Schar was dreadful, Trippier ****ed up and Almiron was god awful. That's on them. Howe could see Almiron was useless, that's why we moved him about in the first half to get something out of him.
Yes I agree with this. None of this we need to keep players fit for the PL or CL or whatever. It’s a derby. I just feel today’s result is what we might get against them. its a huge concern we can’t get these players up for away games. Our away form this season is ****.
We're just not that good mate ... last season finishing 4th was a false position and we'll end up where we probably are as a club this season.... Lascelles still playing krafth getting time and just a lack of real quality in all areas.... we have a few bits here and there tbh but top 4 you need much more. It's such a shame Emery knocked is back because he has the experience to manage a side on all fronts.
We smashed AV 5-1 and that was the reality check for them. Now they have significantly more points than we do because we keep messing up against teams like Bournemouth and Everton. That’s a 6 point swing. our injuries though!
The seasons long and they have a manager that knows how to play and how to manage a squad in so many competitions. This is a fact.. Eddie Howe as much as he's loved has absolutely no experience at this level. Emery >Howe
Chaos is right, this is going to take another few years and it probably won’t be Eddie the one who takes us there. Getting CL last year was about 4yrs ahead of schedule, we tried to fill out the squad in the summer to deal with playing 3 games every 10 days but Eddie has shown some naivety in his stubbornness to constantly send out the same 11 in every game, it’s backfired, players have burnt out and got injured, now we have about 15 fit players. No other top side puts out the same 11 in every game, since the 5 sub rule came in the top sides have benefited hugely cause they can rest and rotate often with their big squads. Saying all that, we’ve had a couple of freakish injuries too.
We’d be better off losing to Milan tbh, out of Europe and concentrate on a strong 2nd half of the season
He’s just not a target man. Balls lifted to him in the air are useless. He needs it to his feet or in space around him.
Mismanaged? We have injuries in every position meaning we can't rotate. It doesn't matter weather we had Haaland and Oshimen as the 2 forwards, if one is injured and the other plays 4 times in 12 days they're going to be a tad tired. Willock being out, Longstaff being out and Tonali being out means the midfield are constantly being played - that's not being mismanaged. Exact same with the defence and the wingers. more than half the injuries have been freak injuries or impact injuries - These happen - it's not mismanagement for God's sake. In addition the players aren't training between games the same way, and furthermore we don't have a big gap this year for the world cup. By Jan most the players will be back and we can look at what's needed then.
The pace of our games is tough. The players are burnt out. Sorry but that's due to having a ton of injuries so Howe can't rotate many of them. It'll be addressed in Jan. What'll be will be in the next month and there isn't much can be done with magic wands to fix it.
Other clubs manage mate and I believe it's our style of play - it's not suitable anymore and in time this will become clearer. I don't do luck mate ... I don't think this will ever work and simply bringing in reinforcements isn't a solution. I'm entitled to make my opinion known and in time we'll see. It'll be changed because Howe will learn just like any other manager without experience.
Ahhh a little threat... basically don't say the things I don't like or I'll justify being petty. You can have your own views and I will express mine thank you very much.
