I hope your lad's alright mate. How did they treat his broken hand? Do they reset it and apply plaster of paris?
No, he’s broken the bone in his hand under his little finger. In one of those Velcro braces and splints between two fingers, sling to help with swelling. Back to fracture clinic on Friday. I have witnessed from multiple rugby injuries that this lad has a pretty high pain threshold, he’s walked around with this for 4 days. But not good news for a builder. Everything numbed with booze now. Halfway through the feast, I need a break to get second wind. Before the port and cheese, which I am insanely excited about.
Good stuff. I'm going in for some figgy pudding and cream now. Cheese board will follow a bit later. Haven't had much drink just a glass of wine during the main event.
Any good gifts anyone ? I got a butane garage space heater for my studio to kick it off ... sparked it up works very well. Any great gifts anyone
Happy Christmas all I hope everyone is having a good one wherever you are and whatever your doing Peace!
20.50, and the telly is on for the first time today. Lovely day. Learnings: - A&E is good early on Christmas morning - real vintage port is disappointing on the first sip. After that it is ****ing sensational. - if you avoid certain cheeses due to salt/blood pressure issues, but treat yourself to a nibble at Christmas, Gorgonzola beats Stilton hands down - trust your kids, a la Stroller, with the playlist. Ours, provided by my 17 year old daughter, was outstanding - a relaxed but combative family is a joy
Sounds as though Family SB got there in the end....glad it is all sorted... enjoy the port Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Decent day all round..... Started with the smoked salmon and scrambled egg although only had a couple of cups or tea with it as had to drive into town to see aged mother in nursing home and mass...... Have to recommend Monsigny Champagne from Lidl €20 over here due to taxes but around d £11 in UK outstanding..... Had pulled venison in pastry with a red current jus, could have been any red meat really venison kind of losses it's flavour when stripped like that, washed down with an Australian merlot...... Couple of G & T's during the evening and now going to watch the first hour or so of the cricket...... Happy Christmas all.....
