Cellino will be happy... Doesn't have to spend and can risk selling Byram and cook..... Ideal result for him.
Some of the happy clappies will agree with ur point. Boggers and Chesh to name two. The ones who have a clue will see us still on target to finish around 15th to 17th and be happy at that.
Don't talk such rubbish Chirpy. We've just gone up a place and are slowly chasingh6th spot. Wood was useless, but a point away from home in a game where we had something approaching 70% + of possession
I think if Cellino does back Evans next month he might spend the money wisely, and you'll be screwed. Must be keeping you up nights at this point.
Excellent point away from home. Immeasurably better performance compared to previous seasons. Good substitutions again from Evans and at right time. Will be quite happy to see him with us for the long term
We should've won that game, good display from lads, but not fantastic; what makes it look slightly less than fantastic is the finishing, well, the lack off it. Wood, nuff said, can't even score sitters, if he hasn't played, or not played himself out team I'll show me arse in Harrods. Dallas off!! should've been Wood off, surely Evans ain't that blind that he can't see Wood is a none paying passenger. A player who lacks ability and/or confidence should be rested as he's detrimental to team. We passed it around very well but the finishing was lacking, if we had a striker maybe we could've had a few more shots on target but it wasn't to be. No point in bringing Antenucci on for 10 minutes, he needs longer than that and a lone striker isn't really working for us, if you count the lone striker. I think we need to revert back to 4-4-2 and give more strike power up front, either that or we'll end up with another Morison or Sharp. We had the best of possession, we dominated most of game but didn't have no one to put'em away untill Duke started the set up for Byrams goal, which was well taken; will he be with us after Summer, hard to say at moment but he's certainly put himself in shop window again. Midfield were still slack, forest were finding their way through fairly regularly but defence held up well. I wouldn't put all blame on Bellusci, ball was going over his head and someone should've been covering behind him, where was Wootton, where was Cooper. I think the defence did very well despite the goal, they held themselves together well and Bellusci made some amends for their goal with a good performance, Cooper did well and Taylor was good going down flank, but did get caught out by not getting back quick enough a couple of times. Wootton didn't do too bad, I don't think he feels confident going forward as many of his passes were backwards or short across pitch, I'd still drop him if we had someone better to replace him though. Last 15 minutes or so were best part of game as it seemed end to end stuff and both teams looked like they wanted to win it, WE looked like we wanted to win it for a change instead of sitting back and settling for a draw. For me, wrong and late subbing contributed to us not winning against Forest, I say that with respects to Evans but he's got to see the big problem we have up front. Good game to watch and the lads did well to get the draw, but we should've won. Going to be interesting to see what changes Evans makes for Derby game and what formation he uses; personally, it's got to be 4-4-2 against Derby, we need to start worrying opposing keepers and put continual pressure on'em.......
Cook was awful today, he seemed to believe he could run through players rather than go around them and Wood missed a sitter at the end along with another few half chances... Apart from those two I thought we played really well, I actually thought Wood had a good game if you ignored the misses which I know you can't do if you're a striker. We are going to miss Byram when he goes, who would have believed that a few weeks ago. I enjoyed the game, I would have took a point before it started but feel we should and could have had all 3
He said we were crap up front and got one point from a team we had to beat..... Not seeing too much to be happy about paddy. When Derby put us to the sword the importance of winning games we dominate will be clearer. But if we can't score we can't win..... Is it too difficult for you to nderstand?
For Derby, I'd go 4132, with Doukara and Antenucci up front, Bridcutt in he holding role. We need to work hard and create chances. Maybe Mowatt could replace Murphy. But we need to step up a bit
He also said apart from those two, we played really well. Try reading the full posts rather than the bits you like
You clearly didn't hear what Evans said about Wood after the match. He's trying to rebuild his confidence. Earnshaw agreed that he was doing the right thing.
