This has made me want to punch him. It's the most monstrously ugly car I've ever seen, it's horrible. And here he is describing it as elegant.
look at the size of the pylons from the front wing to the nose, wonder what they have hiding inside them, blown front wing and one?
Love all the biased McLaren fanboys on here who say the McLaren is the best and every other car is ulgy.
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I assume your a fan of the stepped nose then? Which car would you say looks best
Lotus isn't looking too bad, but I think it's hard to say any look as good as or even better than the McLaren. Some very consistent lap times coming in from McLaren, Red Bull are quick but all over the place time wise. Merc are slowly dialling in the speed. Ferraris times are a bit up and down too.
I dislike McLaren, but without doubt it is the nicest car this season. The Lotus is probably 2nd. the Ferrari is still the ugliest, Mercedes didn't do a good/bad enough job.
Yep, I think so too. For me, the ugliest is either the Merc or the Force India but I'd need to see them together to choose. Contrary to what Helmut Marko says, I don't find the Red Bull's nose elegant.
Scrabs has done some summaries on the W03: Long wheel base The sidepods are tiny, they are deeply undercut and their volume appears to be both high and forward. To the rear of the sidepods the exhausts exit over the top surface and appear to blow over the rear bodywork and through the rear suspension. The 2011 car's wing was derived from that of the 2009 Brawn. The new wing is far more contemporary however and the three elements curve down to form the endplate and the wing is tipped with a pair of curved vanes. Front wing cascade elements are there primarily to divert flow around the wheels, rather than purely to create downforce. Hints that the F-duct is to be used can be seen in the large wing mounting pylons and the way these join to the front wing. As a passive system, the F-duct set up would be legal, but as yet the benefits are not clearly understood.
You're right... I actually like to see my F1 cars with ironing boards bolted to the front, but as a McLaren fan I have been unable to admit it.... I can't continue with this charade any longer, so while we're at it, I'll lay it all out on the table.... I love Alain Prost and Barry Manillow!
