Been very busy on the forum in the last few days , could be heading for a fall ! Or just need lots of mental stimulation , mind you just bought my first totally electric guitar , the Gear4music store in York Clifton Moor is massive !!
Got a Yamaha Revstar RSS220 in ‘hot Merlot’ It’s really nicely built and trimmed and very smooth on the neck and frets , I have slightly dodgy hands these days so rough edges on frets would not help my arthritis ! I only started a year ago learnt a fair few chords now for the clever stuff !!
Yamaha make fantastic guitars.I've got 2 acoustics,6&12 strings and I played a 'cheap' electric Yamaha some years ago(Stratocaster shape)...Sound range was awesome. Enjoy!!
Great Ric , was trying to play Chris Stapleton ‘You should probably leave now ‘ today , he plays the chords so quickly but sings so slowly !! . My guitar tutor is 77 got some v expensive ones he was pushing me for the Strat but out of that my Yammi and an Epiphone , the Yamaha won the day , personal preference I guess . ii start with an acoustic Hartwood Villanelle it’s got a lovely sound to it richer o would say than some bigger bodied accoustics I’ve heard - but I may be wrong on that . Learning is not easy !!
It may be cold .wet ,grey and miserable at the minute . However The darkest ten weeks of the year are now behind us The birds are starting to sing in a morning The snow drops are out The daffodils just behind them Spring is just around the corner.
