By way of a little light entertainment while football descends into international nothingness. This comp is only open to those of a certain age group. This is how it goes. I have delved into my Chelsea programme collection and have pulled one out at random. So just for fun I will name both teams and 10pts will be awarded for the;

Opposing team name

Season

Date (nearest wins)

Score

Chelsea

Bonetti
Harris (A)
McCreadie
Venables
Mortimore
Upton
Murray
Tambling
Bridges
Kevan
Blunstone

Opposing team;

Baynham
Bramwell
Daniel
Lownds
Kelly
Pacey
Lornie
Turner
Goldie
Davies
Fairchild

No Cheating please<ok>

Good luck!

No but i'll give you 5pts for ingenuity.<laugh>

Oh the temptations... can I do one of these line up things for you then... I went to this game so it was in the past 18 years...

Walker
Lyth
Cryan
Hotte
Baker
Sestanovich
Kerr
Kelly
Marcelle
Quayle
Whitman

Chelsea team on the day:

Cudicini
Melchiot
Gallas
Terry
Bridge
Cole
Lampard

What was the opposing team's name?
The score of the game?
And the name of the stadium?

That was Chelsea v Luton April 1963 and I was there! We won 3-1 and if my memory serves me well Frank Blunstone , one of my favourites, unusually found himself on the scoresheet! I've got the programme too--I've never thrown a programmeaway. I've got a room at home we call the Chelsea room and its packed with them!

Maybe... maybe not :) I went to the game... It was a great day out but if you don't cheat then it could be tricky!

I know the answer to this one! but I won't spoil it for the others but I will just say this, Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Are you sure tots? If that is true Frank was only 11 years old when he was born!

i'm pretty sure i read it somewhere, i know some one who has an uncle who's younger than him!( must be a step uncle).i do know the Bluntstone's are related though.

I know the year of the other one, because by logic Bridge and Joe Cole joined in 03 and Jimmy Floyd left the following year before Jose arrived, and we dont start in the FA cup until January so the year is 2004

The year is 2004 but can you remember the opposing team's name and the name of the stadium?
