I recall the old 606 well. My first thread was in January 2007 I think.

It was actually quite fun but the moderators were appalling. I often called them fascists and KGB agents and all sorts till they put me back in moderation mode. Restarted my profile with a new email address because I was sick fed up of the moderator messages saying your post was deemed inappropriate even for the slightest remark. The last few months of it's existence and actually the last year or so I rarely went on it. Oh yeah and there was xiggly - a desperate Senna fan boy who ridiculed the achievements of Jim Clark and Michael Schumacher which I put forward to him.... and in turn saying his opinion stood greater that that of Murray Walker because Walker was incompetent. Never knew he posted such explicit pictures though.

I wrote that in may 2011 on 606, a few months later i was right.

Almost every post on that thread is a corker, Nostradamus

 

I wish i hadn't been right. Couldn't they have just fired Benson, it would have saved enough money to keep 606 open, and firing Benson would have convinced the paymasters to keep the f1.

I've just remembered something else i miss from 606. FACTS. Like facts but more relevant.

If you end with the word FACT anything you said is 100% true... or the other way round, can never remember

I love how the argument basically turned into an anonymous Hamilton v Alonso argument.
