Sorry BT but I don't agree with you. Last season we had a copy of sorts of our first strip. That shows to me that he is very involved with our past.
Where he may differ is that he wishes to eradicate many of the past errors and lead us to the hallowed land on a secure footing. One indeed that will mean our competing on a more level playing field.
Fair enough.........the hundred and twenty five year thing was a huge promotion push for the club, it could be argued a huge publicity stunt. The Ted Bates Trophy does not mean very much outside of Southampton granted. While not many will know of Marcus Leibherr himself it will put the trophy on the world map because of the teams playing in it. So in that sense he is creating his own piece of history. Don't get me wrong it is fine by me but lets not forget our very proud history prior to his arrival. As the CEO he has to find the right balance. In my opinion he would be foolish to try and dismiss the past as irrelevant and to dismiss it as if it hadn't happened.
