I'd be surprised if we managed to get valencia. I'm expecting a mid table la liga team like espanyol probably. Everton does seem plausible mind.

Ever heard or sarcasm? Anyway, whats the point in speculating, nobody knows who the teams are going to be. Plus its a mickey mouse fun day anyway, can't believe anybody is actually excited about it or really concerned who the teams are. In short, the premiership side ain't gonna be one of the big boys, the Spanish side aint gonna be Real Madrid or Barca. So in my opinion its its not something to be salivating over. Anyway, chances are there will be a lot of youngsters/reserves involved. Plus the Spanish side will be very early in their preseason in July.

All right then, its the greatestcompetition ever, I'll be bringing all my family to see it and i'm sure that in years to come Europes elite will beg to be included. In fact, i'm pretty sure that it will soon surpass the champions league in terms of prestige and television revenue.
Lets get serious. Its a pre-season round robin where sides play two halves of football against different opponents. IT WONT EVEN INVOLVE A PROPER GAME OF FOOTBALL. You cannot get more mickey mouse than that. I respect, and am eternally greatful for, what Markus did for the club. However, that is not going to stop me from calling a spade a spade.
It's part of the pre-season preparations, 90 minutes of football for each team. It'll be a better day than the yeovil match and that'll be 90 minutes so why knock this tournament?
Well I wish I wasn't away. I think it's innovative and will be a fun day out for those who can go. There is a normal preseason match the following week for traditionalists.
I think I saw somewhere an Everton fan saying the 1st team will be away when we are playing the Memorial Cup so unless they play a reserve side it won't be them. Maybe a London team, Fulham?
well im excited, as a fan of la liga it will be awesome to see a team play at st marys. i would have loved to have seen deportivo, but they got relegated 
Sorry BT but I don't agree with you. Last season we had a copy of sorts of our first strip. That shows to me that he is very involved with our past.
Where he may differ is that he wishes to eradicate many of the past errors and lead us to the hallowed land on a secure footing. One indeed that will mean our competing on a more level playing field.
