Inter Cities Fairs Cup Final, first leg against Ujpest Doza. Packed out plus some. Spent the game sitting on the cinder track at the Popular Side near to the Leazes End in line with the penalty box.

I thought your favourite was the 1924 FA Cup title win against Villa.

Some early memories.

Not my first game, but one that has stuck.
Sept 71, Texaco Cup v Hearts
2 - 1 win to tie the game, and then NUFC WINNING a Penalty Shoot - yes WINNING. In the Paddock as loads of bottles were being thrown back and forth. I think its also the last game I went with the old man.

Jan 76, League Cup SF v Spurs.
In the Leazes that night behind the goal.

Apr 77, First away game, at Sunderland.
2 - 2 draw with with our late goals, one a cracker from Tommy Craig right in front of us.
Aside from the football there was my Brother in law, in the Fullwell End with a few hundred other Toon fans.
Then there was the walk back to Seaburn Station - not a pretty sight.

More rerecently.
March 14, v Palace. 1 - 0 win.

I remember the Spurs game. May be rose tinted glasses but i seem to recall us playing brilliantly in that game.

Have been a few classics with Spuds. Was at the game where we lost at home 5-3 to them with Alfie Conn getting a hat trick. Four nil down at half time and still convinced we'd win. Spurs probably only had 2 shots or at least that's how it felt. The game was so one sided it was unbelievable but one sided to us not Spurs. One of the most upside down games i can remember ever going to.
