Membership?

So have they reduced the away end on the basis that the Upper West is permanently shut, so the 10% rule applies and the away allocation only needs to be 2,000?

Ballsy move when they start opening Upper West for big games. Unless they intend to keep it shut come what may.

thought limit of allocation for away team was 2500 could be wrong

Just had the telephone call from the club regarding membership.
After expressing the obvious jokes about "do you want to sign me up as a player" etc we got down to talking about memberships.....
The two seats we used to have in the North Stand from a few years ago had gone.
I asked if there was a seat plan I could look at online, or could I pop in and look at a seat map.
The answer to both was no.
I was told I could log onto Hull FC's website and pretend to order a rugby ticket, as they have a seat plan online....but this would not work for us as the North Stand is closed for rugby games......
So unable to look at where to sit, and the price quoted to join did not tally up with the monthly prices for the North Stand.
Very confused, very frustrated, very predictable.
No new members.
That is actually astonishing...<doh>

Upper West won't be needed regardless of how we do.
There's no way we will get enough home fans to attend regardless.

Or moving out of the ground alrtogether!

It's astonishing how badly we are run. If this was a business that had to report to shareholders (other than themselves) they'd have been kicked out about 5 or 6 times by now
Three seasons out of the last four in the Pl, the shareholders would be pretty happy with that compared to leeds sheff wed sheff u boro etc etc shareholders I imagine.

Not sure why you're picking those teams - only Boro bears comparison and I'd be much more comfortable with their Chairman than our VC

Just examples.
Would their shareholders be happy with him after years in the championship they were terrible in the pl and went straight back down. Unhappy shareholders I'd say.

I'm sure the shareholders of Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe United would take it as well. Although none of these teams are ones the shareholders would be comparing us to. Bournemouth, Leicester City, Southampton, Burnley, Stoke City and Watford would be the teams they would be looking at as examples and, I would say, on that basis they'd be unhappy.

I'd rather have shares in boro with Gibson in charge, you'd rather have shares in Hull City Tigers with Ehab in charge - horses for courses

So would boro shareholders then and he's held up as the best chairman around.
You could also say with the resources behind five of those clubs we aren't anywhere near them to compete with.
