Apart from a handful of navel gazers, anoraks and Wallys, have these e mails really got the capacity to shock anyone? As you say, they will show that RD entered into tentative discussions about selling, and will prove once again that the CEO doesn't tell the truth. In the meantime the sun will go down tonight and rise again tomorrow morning.
You know these rich people @ForestHillBilly. Always suing people for defamation or whatever they want as they can afford it. If you watch John Oliver, Donald Trump has been doing it for years. He literally sued a journalist who said he had "small hands." He also sends the journalist a picture every quarter of his hands, proving they're not as small he reckons. I guarantee that Roland would do something like that. Send him mail every week saying, "look how much I invested" with a picture of two smiling fans, with the "see they do love me..."
http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/...idering_legal_action_against_Charlton_chief/? Whole load of nothing.
Legal action like this is only for the very rich. Maybe Varney is being aided by whoever he represents. Our CEO probably thought by using ambiguous language she could safely imply one thing while not saying it directly. I can't imagine Roland would be too happy to fork out legal costs to defend his CEO's loose tongue. This has the potential to be either very interesting or a damp squib. My guess is another ambiguous statement from our CEO.
Genuinely surprised that news of Varney's next move appeared exclusively on Rick Croppers VOTV On Line. I thought he would print a special edition instead. Complete fuss about nothing and non story. Even CARD has gone quiet. Just Cropper himself and Ben Hayes driving their agenda now.
It seems to have died a death. Whoever this mysterious backer is should say to Varney "Sorry but you've failed", and find another intermediary to approach Roland directly without Murray's knowledge.
It will be revived in around the first week of August. The new VOTV goes on sale at the first home game.

I'm going with Vladimir Putin. He's rich and does not own football clubs. But I hear he likes football. Just sayin'.
Pinocchio's defence will be along the lines of "I'm Pinocchio, I lie everyone knows that, no-one believes a word I say. So when I tell another whopper it doesn't count".
