He put himself there because it’s his job to be there......but he doesn’t have to like it does he, it was his duty to be there and I guarantee he didn’t much like it.....good bloke is Mick and if fancy takes him, may yet be very handy in dealing with one or two OTT apologists in the months ahead, once a takeover takes place that is. And I know he was dead against the thugs because he told me so. Do you think that every copper on duty at a protest march disagrees with the protesters......of course not but they have to be there, the similarity with Mick is quite similar........I can assure you he wouldn’t do the dirty on any Addick unless it was absolutely necessary due to their bad behaviour, he’s one of us.
Just on the subject of M.E, do you remember when he (badly) chaired one of the initial fans meetings with Meire ? I do. Every time a supporter got close to getting Meire hot under the collar, M.E intervened and got the subject changed. That is a fact I am afraid, and once again doesn’t really fit in with a portrait of a pained employee suffering for his conscience. There are videos out there of M.E chairing that meeting that will back me up.
Packing in a job you like, and have been doing for years is quite an extreme form of action. If everyone did that whenever their was bullying by management we'd be playing musical jobs. Most people in that situation would think "why the hell should I lose my job without any redundancy money because of some blown-up hitler"
Yes, he didn’t do well I agree. But I can tell you without fear of contradiction that he ain’t in any way shape or form an apologist. Why the **** do you hate everyone.....it does my ****ing head in!!
Were I the new owner (I’m not), I would have two very simple rules from Day 1. 1. Any employee of any seniority that worked for the Belgian Regime - you are out. 2. Any fan employee who worked for previous regimes including Murray - you ain’t ever coming back. Fresh start.
Just on the “didn’t do well” comment then, would you agree at that meeting that Mick Everett gave the impression he was favouring Meire over the fans trying to put questions.
Owls of paranoia; 'Secret Blades working behind the scenes' Sheffield Wednesday fans react to their club's latest cock up http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/01/0...g-behind-the-scenes-sheffield-wednesday-fans/ It's not been the best of weeks for Sheffield Wednesday. First came the appointment of one of football's most hated women - Katrien Meire - as chief executive, closely followed by the Owls' worst home league defeat in more than three years - delivered by relegation-threatened Burton Albion - and finally - or so it seemed - an offer by the club's owner to refund the season tickets of any disgruntled supporters. But those of a Wednesday persuasion are once again rubbing their eyes in disbelief, after the club appeared to recall one of its loaned out players with Saturday's FA Cup trip to Carlisle United in mind. The only problem being that the player in question - Jack Stobbs - has already appeared in this season's competition for Port Vale and is therefore unable to feature at Brunton Park. The following tweet, which claimed that Stobbs was cleared to play, has since been deleted by the Owls' official account, while an article on the club website was subsequently amended. please log in to view this image The 20-year-old only made eight appearances for Vale, and had turned out for Wednesday's Under-23s in the meantime, so it's possible that he would have been recalled regardless. Still, with the week Wednesday are having, it would come as little surprise if this was simply another cock up...
Wednesday lose the Sheffield derby next week and the protests will start. They won't f*** about up there.
The man she has appointed at the Massives "His last post, with Stuttgart, ended in September 2016 just four months after his appointment" another quote from a Director "Following an extensive search for the right candidate to take us forward, I am thoroughly convinced Jos is that man" yes we have heard all these before
If you've nothing else to do, perhaps watching on Friday 12th January 2018 Sheffield United -V- Sheff Wed 19:45
Meire is a vile & repellent character, but she has gone. A weirdo on CL has made a complaint to LinkedIn than Meire is still calling herself CEO of Charlton. We are getting into harassment territory here with an element of our wally- ish fan base.
There are bound to be a few people who want to continue to hound KM. I guess there will be a handful who will continue to harass Duchatelet even if he breaks all ties with a total and clean sale of the Club. Those people will be acting on their own, not representing popular fan opinion anymore. If they can't let their hostility go then that is sad. But the rest of us will be looking to the future soon. Not with suspicion and fear but with hope and willingness to help. Having said that, there's no harm in continuing to have a laugh at KM or RD's expense...
