I'd never heard of Alonso before we signed him.

 

I'm in a dilemma myself, I signed Henri in FM13 for £17.5million, do I keep him and feel that itch of it being unrealistic or just accept that he is good enough to stay? I've also signed Eriksen for £10million, Strootman for £11.25million and Papa for £16.5million

I had. Only because he had -2 potential on CM. And I cheated like hell on that game to get all the future great players for pennies. Good times!

 

Never paid all of the fees upfront, did an update where Carroll was sold and money transferred to us, also managed to get £8m for Downing. Also had around £20-£25 as starting transfer budget. (everything explain in gaming thread if you want to know more)

Also signed Eriksen in 2nd season so that isn't included.

Call me miserable but I'm happy he's gone to dortmund, he'll learn his lesson when in four years he'll be wishing he was at Liverpool..

cant see why some people think its the end of the world because we couldnt sign mkhitaryan, there are more than a handfull of players who in my opinion are better than henri in every department who would probably cost the same. ozil,koke,oscar de marcos,ander herrera to name a few. CALM THE **** DOWN PEOPLE we will sign someone decent in the before the window closes.

It's a shame we couldn't get HM. I've seen quite a few people criticise Ayre and the board for not pulling it off but I don't blame them. We've seen a significant improvement in our transfer dealings and we've all seen how quickly we have concluded deals so far.

My guess is that HM knew of interest from Dortmund so his agents tried to prolong the negotiations hence why we could never agree a fee. In addition, 3rd player ownership is legal in Germany so the negotiations between HM and Dortmund would have been significantly quicker.
