Two members of the same family having a cancer diagnosis within days of each other is absolutely terrible.
I hope they get good treatment (which obviously they can afford, where others cannot) and get better...


The role of media/press/social media who provoked Kate into making that broadcast yesterday however is abhorrent. As she said, she had to deal with having to get her kids through her "scary surgery" and then tell them about "her cancer" all before it became public knowledge....and them finding out about from TV, or at school or from their "friends".
And all the fake photos scandal (where half the population has an iphone which can edit a photo); he is having and affair; she has left him; body double in Windsor stuff....it is just .......I really cannot find words for what we have become

 

Comes with the territory if you’re going to be part of probably the most famous family in the world. They get an incredibly kind press and get to manage much of what is and isn’t written about them.

But noone deserves the...

It's a body double
She horribly deformed after a botch operation
She has bulimia.

People are going to speculate when ‘working’ Royals go missing. The way they’ve chosen to handle the whole thing for weeks and weeks has been odd. You can’t expect people to just sit there and wait to be told what’s happening when you’re that high-profile.

 

By "go missing", I assume you mean, "have a serious abdominal operation and spend weeks in hospital before a lengthy convalescence period". Clearly that's unreasonable for Republican types like Owen ****ing Jones and Meghsie supporters

 

The business with the edited photo was a farce, and just served to fuel the conspiracy theories. Were we really supposed to believe that Kate is in the habit of taking selfies to distribute to the media?

To be fair they were wheeling her out for a few hours after each childbirth so to go missing for 3 months with no one except a few people seeing her would be rather troubling then to finish it off they sent out an old photoshopped photo

 

There's a difference between the joy of childbirth and a major abdominal op which might (and indeed, did) reveal cancerous growth, Bobby. The public knew it was serious, just not how serious.

I agree the photoshopped photo was a mistake. It wasn't an old photo was it? It was current but adjusted. Catherine has been used to taking photos of her family which the Palace publish. The Palace was remiss at letting that one go through as official.

Since Covid there has been a stubborn rump of conspiracy theorists who will buy into UFOs appearing each night, but deny everything told to them by government or monarchy. Several higher profile social media commentators have had to apologise over Catherine's cancer, yet there are still idiots out there who refuse to believe it.

 

It's a sad world we live in that so many people believe so many nut-job conspiracies. I suppose it just highlights how little faith the general public have in figures of authority, which is understandable in a way.
From some of the comments on here from people saying things like...."well, what do you expect when Kate hasn't been seen" etc, I do wonder whether we have some flat earthers on here.

Depends if you simp for a family who wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire or not.

 

I mean once the conspiracys were rumbling and people were concerned after 3 months, would it have been too much for a quick appearance to say im okay i just want time to myself to recover as i am not well.

That would have put loads of concerned (not those who will also like to gossip and find conspiracies) at ease as kate is very popular.

It's not like physically she looks different and has anything to be embarrassed about.

Instead they decided to put in a very bad photoshop that had to be retracted hours later.

 

Now ...it is being said these conspiracy threads are being driven by Russia, China and Iran, to destabilise our monarchy.

Do I believe this...I don't know.

My honest opinion is Russia/China/Iran couldn’t give the slightest **** about our monarchy.
