You clearly like your football history. Quite an extraordinary story and character, Bert. Puts the idea of 'signing an enemy player' into perspective...
not yet. it's on my ever growing list of things to watch/read when i get a moment....whenever that might be
Where have I done that you ****ing simpleton? Bigging myself up? I’m not the one coming on here gloating about my painting and decorating career. Most of that money was spent on the structure and necessary internal jobs like the heating and electrics. Not a lick of paint
Damn straight. Then the country can get rid of that bloody awful national anthem and replace it with something a bit more appropriate.
Simpleton? Lol. Bigging myself up by mentioning what I do do for a living? You are the one who goes around insulting people and refusing to accept facts on a subject by changing the narrative. The building had not been decorated since 1952 FACT, what percentage of the cost went on decoration is irrelevant. You are merely obfuscating and repeating what another poster said.
I was just watching Breakfast News and they were saying Harry should've spoken to his grandmother first .... .... to be fair she lives in Devon, with Harry's dad, which might be a bit awkward.
It's tremendous. The Last Kingdom series. I'm a couple of books behind the latest one but it's gripping.
The Royal warrant means the Queen gets it for nowt. I don't work for nowt, especially for the Sax Coburg Gotha family.
Aye she will be pleading poverty like all pensioners do. Even the one's in the big houses claim they are skint, in fact ESPECIALLY the one's in the big houses. My mate is a gardener down South and did a job for Lord whoever on his estate and he just basically refused to pay him and was frankly outraged at the suggestion of money changing hands for services rendered. My mate just gave up in the end and wrote it off.
The 'landed gentry' have absolutely no qualms in simply refusing to pay for services rendered. They believe their electronic gates, dogs and CCTV makes them immune from retribution. A few of them have found, to their cost, that's actually no protection.
Nope, he was seriously hustling the senior Disney executive trying to ( now successfully) get a contract for his wife, whilst on the red carpet for the Lion king movie. He had decided not to attend, as the Captain General of the RM, the RM Memorial Day in Deal, Kent , but to be at the movie with his wife. I found his hustling attempts really, really cringeworthy and sad TBH.
Doesn't want to be a part of the family business but quite happy to use it for his own benefit, very poor. He doesn't seem to appreciate the cold hard fact that being part of that family is all he has going for him. People only listen to him because of that, or does he think he's just a naturally exceptional human being.
This is what gets me about the bloody royal family. They’re given all sorts of military titles that they won’t have actually earned. Look at Eddie. Colonel in chief of all sorts of regiments. Actual military service - four months. Princess Anne - same as Eddie. Actual military service - **** all I could go on but you get the picture. The thing that does get my goat though is how many truly capable people were not given positions because of them. Amazing how Harry and William got into Sandhurst at the first attempt. Going back to Eddie - very unremarkable A level results yet somehow managed to get a place at Cambridge. They are all a bunch of freeloaders imo.
