The players are trying to make her mascot for the Chelsea game. Has anybody shared the link on the other club'a pages? I know we donated a fair bit when the QPR poster came here. Might be worth a shout getting the word out a little further? Hopefully our local media get involved and expose the story for more donations.
I put it on the Arsenal page ... but it isn't that busy on there. If Megan was mascot I don't reckon there would be a dry eye in the stadium.
Thanks for your post Dennis. I have decided to volunteer to drive lonely elderly adults once a month to coffee afternoons. The news of Megan has brought us all together. That is a great idea. I would do that but I am next to useless with techi stuff.
Can anyone remember the name of the thread? It was a QPR fan who got run over outside the ground I think ...
I'm sure if you sent a message to QPRted he'd let you know, he was the originator of the thread. Ted posted on here recently.
This is from the Hull City Fans forum just now. Fantastic .. Tony Snodgrass Robert will be chasing the rest of the squad up in the morning ... Not that he would have to as he said they wer all going to put money in together anyway so hopefully be reaching near 15-20k mark by end of tomorrow please log in to view this image
Can people please take note! Ken, Meg’s Dad has asked us to pass a message on, on behalf of the family. He would like to say a huge Thank you to everyone for their thoughts, well wishes and offers of help. At this time he has asked that the family are allowed some time to come to terms with the news. They are aware that many people have offered their support with regards fundraising to enable Meg to travel to Spain to visit her Granddad. The family have requested that fans try and support one fundraising campaign to allow everyone to keep track of what’s happening and so the family aren’t contacted by multiple people trying to do the same thing. They really do appreciate everything everyone is doing but as you can imagine this is a hard time for them.
Wow That's brilliant Things like this really do make you sit back and put things into context. Great that positive things come out of a tragic situation
It would be great if further fundraising could be made tax efficient via Gift Aid to get something via HMRC as well. I appreciate that may not be possible when fundraising for Meg personally, but it's a thought for the future.
