The old throw the agents in as being an issue routine. Wonder what else the ****ing pricks will blame this summer?

I’d imagine this is genuine. The whole landscape has change while the league is in limbo over budgets.

The cap is classed as active as it stands and we can’t assume it’s going to be removed.

On the positive, it won’t just impact us. I don’t see many teams in the league to fear as it stands. We need to remove McGeady wage though, I feel like that may explain why we haven’t moved for Maddison.

I cant disbelieve PP at this stage. Given the EFL decision I'm not surprised players who may think they are championship level have second thoughts. The salary cap is absolute dog ****.

We have massive leaway this summer as do most clubs because anyone earning over £1.5k/week will be classed as earning just that. Leaves us at least 1.1 million to spend on wages for four players as the squad is limited to 22 and we have 18.
Won't be many players outside of us earning 275,000 a year in this league

He alluded to Championship interest though.

If we are competing with a Championship club and they can hoy in extra couple grand a week we are out.

The cap absolutely ****s us, takes away the ‘big fish small pond’ angle.

It's anyone earning over 1.5k/week before the deadline will be classed as earning no more than that after the the deadline while their current deals exist. It does mean we need to get promoted sooner rather than later as a lot of them won't be happy they'll have to take massive wage cuts once their deals run out. Hopefully though the EFL will lose their court case or scrap it before then because (as has been said numerous times) it can't be legal for them to do this.

Unfortunately this, they want to trap us and keep us in division 3, Donald on the other hand has very little past experience of promotion

I mean, this isn’t an excuse it’s very real. I ain’t gonna chuck **** at the owners just because I want them gone.

We’d heard folk signing Friday, Parky has backed that up, the landscape changed.

    It’s ****ed us.

We being linked with Flanagan, former Liverpool and Rangers RB. Highly rated at one point.

Then why not say it's the salary cap that has caused issues?
