Kante provided cover that meant that Huth and Morgan's lack of mobility wasn't as exposed last season. But you're right, one player leaving doesn't explain quite the slump they've had. They stayed up in 14/15 without Kante.
One thing I do know regarding Leicester, their next two league games will decide their season. Get beaten by Liverpool & then Hull City puts them well and truely in the bottom three. (But of course we would have to also beat Burnley to nail them there.
I can't believe Burnley will come to ours to ''play'' - they'll defend to keep the clean sheet and hope for something on the break. It'll be a tactical borefest to test the mettle of the ''gerrit forrard'' types.
Anyone else got that nagging feeling that Leicester might beat us to end their slump? (Like others have before them!)
Leicester's fixtures make pleasant reading. Liverpool at home, then us and then both Arsenal and West Ham away. If we can take a point there, they'll be in almighty amount of ****e. Also through in 2 CL games and I think they'll beat Sevilla.
He may be Leicester's version of our Mussie watching real football in a park somewhere in the east midlands.
I don't care how boring it is so long as we win. It will be my third match of the season. Home for 10 days I honestly can't wait. I'll take in a bit of culture too.
That Leicester team is probably where it should be in the table, the individual players are really not that good, none have experienced much success before and I doubt many of them will again. Last year they had a game plan and executed it to perfection, it made average players look great and took a lot of teams by surprise. They were also helped by the title challengers playing poorly and a fair bit of luck along the way. It made for a great story and it was nice to see someone shake up the establishment but at the end of the day it was a freak season, never to be repeated. Their fans should be grateful they got to experience something most of us never will. Unfortunately with success comes expectation and it seems they have lost perspective on who they are and where they've come from. They need to step back and appreciate what happened instead of turning on the team a few months later, there's fans from 100's of clubs that would swap places with them in an instant.
Ranieri handed stay of execution until end of the season... http://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/sport/ranieri-handed-stay-of-execution-till-season-end-g7x8k8tpx
I've got a horrible feeling we're laughing at them a bit too early! Let's beat Burnley & them first then look at it.
I cant see Hull surviving to be honest I think that Sunderland, Hull and Boro will go down this season....
