yeah there was a big build up and fighting in the streets last game. I do enjoy this thread filey, find myself looking out for Scarborough results now, I guess I'm a glory fan
Wasn’t that long ago that they had a better side than us, with some ‘memorable’ games and defeats in the 90s. Not sure if it was our first competitive meeting with them, but I recall a dreadful 0-2 home defeat (when we were a division above) in the Autoglass Cup. They had a 40 something John Burridge in goal, as well as Stuart Young & Mark Calvert (both or one of whom scored – I think). There was a couple of League Cup 1st Round defeats – including one with a pitch invasion/attack at the end of the game. Rocastle’s debut in a 3-0 home win. The Great Escape 1-1 draw with the alleged 18,000 inside BP. Embarrassingly, Scarboro always seemed a tough opposition for us.

Sorry, Filey and co. My old laptop started dying on me, then not606 wouldn't let me on, so had to amend my name, and rejoin. Accounts somewhat for the delay.
Gooda start by Scarborough See what I did there? https://www.flashscores.co.uk/match/E3Im4J1S/#match-summary
Finished 0-6 to Scarborough. Doesn't look like the step up is troubling them, sign of a promotion candidate.
They bought 7 players from the national League and National league North Early days yet Mr Archer but they sure are doing well Scarborough and South Shields have average home gates above 1000 fans while other teams are lucky to get 300 Big advantage South Shields and Basford have rich backers IF Scarborough go up to National League North it will be far tougher . Stockport don't seem able to get out of that league yet they have good support and a good home stadium.
I agree it does get noticeably harder from Norther Premier to National League. Hopefully Boro can stabalise at NLN level and then push on.
