i seem to recall ipswich qualified for europe through the fair play league once. they got relegated during the same season. ok, its only one case but its not a good start!
Fulham got in through the fair play league for this season I believe. Also didn't Millwall get into the UEFA cup a few years a go when they got to the final of the FA cup?
If we are looking for explanations of our performances to date, I stand by what I said at the start of the season: we are no longer playing without fear. This is nothing really to do with Chris Hughton, or the style of football we are playing, or the formation. It is the realisation that the roller-coaster ride of the last three season is over.
