Duffen jinxed the club when he started prattling on about European football, and was banking everything on us staying up regardless of the clubs future, I have fond memories of Brownie but none of Duffen.

Agreed, it was a poor decision but the good things about AP outweigh mistakes such as this one. Like Erik says, anyone who believes Manucho was a better signing than Beattie was for Stoke needs their head checking. You can't defend him on that one Percy, the facts don't lie with this.

Oh for christs sake, I'm sick of this argument. In fact, to call it an argument isn't fair on all the other arguments of this importance, such as which side of the toast will land face down, shall I watch an episode of Jersey Shore or drink a gallon of bleach and cough up my intestines? It reeeallly is that tough a decision. But given the choice, I'd go for butter side down and take the Domestos cocktail anyday.

On the subject of our clubs management, here is how it HAPPENED, not what should have happened. A man who wasn't very good at his job (PB) was fired. Due to budget restraints as a result of the person who hired said man, the club had to hire a low budget manager who was trying to get his face back into the game after infecting Sky Sports News with his blithering idiocy. He, as we all predicted, failed to keep a mediocre side in the PL.

The squad he inherited wasn't exactly brilliant in the first place, again due to the ineptitude of the former management. Instead of Sonko, he should have brought in Berra or Whittaker. Instead of wasting time banging on about trying to sign a Spaniard who has never even heard of Hull, he should have been scouting a player we had a realistic chance of getting, who would score goals and keep us up. Altidore was an unmitigated disaster, ok Jimmy Bullard was a tad unforseen; it wasn't tacked on that he would be injured for so long, but it was tacked on that he was a massive ****. JVoH and Hunt were the only good signings for us that season and they didn't stay once we left either.

We were on the brink of annhilation, it's not a coincidence that when Duffen took over, the club was in the black. By the time he left, we were so in the red it was almost unbelievable. Wake up, the clubs greatest manager? Not even close. We were in the PL, big deal. It's all well and good getting there, but you do actually have to turn up and play instead of getting stuffed week in week out, playing 4-5-1 at home with Richard Garcia as the lone striker was the ****ing limit. What was the best he could have hoped for? It's like he thought "well it can't get any worse, might as well put anybody up front. Next name out of the hat can be a striker for the week. " Too bad all the tickets said Richard Garcia.

That's my two cents. Should last me until this debate arise again, in about 4-5 days time.

    This:

I think most fans feel this way, Tommy, even if some have a nostalgic warmth towards PB, as "the man who got us in to the Premier League". But it's only blind and argumentative types - step forward Percy - who can't see the reality of those last few seasons.

It looks like you're going to have to ask him over dinner, as he's answer the questions before and after the contentious one, but ignored the specific one about missing funds. Judging by the tone of the tweet he's sent me about the wage reduction since relegation, I don't think he likes me very much. <laugh>

He's comes across as a real twat on there. Are you sure it's him? Why would he even get involved in stuff like this.

He got a "So there  " attitude about him.

We did indeed have two Andy Dawson's, one was obviously a left back, the other was our Commercial Director.

Ah, the mysterious case of the missing hospitality box money. Mr Duffen may also have some information on this subject. Give him a tweet. I am sure everything will be explained clearly and consicely.
