Celtic could have been 4 up after ten mins , first half excellent , 2nd half pretty poor , wee bit of credit to st Johnstone . Will they finish second ???

Random thoughts as I watched the match.

I notice we are Tennents EXTRA tonight.... Those ****s are for it.

Could have scored twice in the opening 3 minutes.

I thought Matthews was onside when he broke through. He put it on a plate for Commons. ****ing Linesman.

Hooper is a great footballer. He's playing in those holes that trouble Defenders. He gives them a decision to make all the time.

That Alex O'Henly was pretty dour on Celtic TV. I don't speak Scotch but he is much more animated in his native tongue.

I still think Ambrose is a bombscare but I'm happy he has seemingly shrugged off his horror show and is playing fairly well.

Pinball wizard in the box there.

Gol gol gol gol goooooal. Tremendous drive from Ledley to get beyond the play to win the corner. The pressure told. Celtic very bright took it fairly quickly. St Johnstone switched off and got punished. It was relentless stuff.

    HT. Playing good stuff.

StJ goal disallowed. Looked a good call tbh... Maybe he's not such a ****.

Don't know why we have become **** in the second half.

StJ goal disallowed... Don't know why. Looked ok to me.

Good goal from StJ. Rogne maybe could have done better.

We've been nowhere near as good in this half.

Take the commandant off and then start to knock it long... Odd.

All in all, coulda woulda shoulda been oot ae sight at HT. Second half we weren't up to much.

Yes, it's a 90 mins + game and Celtic strolled around as if they had taken half
their (first half chances ) three or four instead of one. A couple of posers on the
ball in the second half, not the quick slick passing of the opening half.
Rogne showed tonight why Neil Lennon was so eager to get Ambrose aboard
last week. Maybe Neil has learned something about players not mentally attuned ,
Stokes left off tonight as one of his best mates died at the weekend.

All the cliches were there - game of two halves being the most obvious.

Celtic were great first half - the 3-4-3 looked really balanced.

    WTF happened second half?

We totally lost the good shape we had and St Js had time and comfort on the baw.

First St J disallowed goal - tight as **** but looked like the right call - just offside.

Second St J disallowed goal - farce. If it was for offside, it's one of the worst offside shouts I've seen this season.

Also, I thought Wilson was lucky not to concede a penalty on Tade on the goal-line.

In summary - good first half, awful second. We absolutely stole that point on the balance of the game. St Johnstone have a real good cause to feel aggrieved with decisions against them - they were robbed.

I fell asleep at the beginning of the 2nd half. Seen some of the first, but the link stopped just as we got the corner and when it restarted it was 1-0. Never seen the fricken goal.

The bits I saw, Dev, we absolutely pummeled their goal, but just couldn't get it over the line.

    Pummeled's a good word

    Or is it pummled? <shrugs>

I sometimes get a restricted view ticket in 117, **** all in the way of the view there though

Some of those seats are a nightmare. A big green support pole covering a third of the pitch <doh>

The 3-4-3 lent itself to some really slick attacking play - we looked really comfortable and were possibly guilty of sometimes trying to walk the ball in - at least twice, long balls to Hooper, though, were pulled down expertly by the wee man.

Second half Celtic were totally uninspiring. St J's were the better team and got better as the game went on.

Ref was awful (for decisions for both teams) but, if I was a Sainty, I'd be feeling a bit robbed this morning. 2nd disallowed goal was nothing short of disgraceful - the boy was at least two yards onside (not exaggerating) and there wasn't even a hint of a foul.

The first half being productive for Celtic in no way made up for how much we were outplayed and outfought second half.

The lesson for us has to be that if you have all the pressure in the first half of a game, make sure you take your chances - game should've been out of sight.

Trevor , you are the only spastic on here. VenomPD it can't be nice having a big green pole , blocking your view. But it could be a lot worse, you could have a damned blue pole blocking your view.

I think Celtic slowed the game down after they scored . Celtic can never
play well unless they keep the tempo up. I thought Mulgrew and
    Ledley really slowed down.

Much as I suspected, I heard some on the radio on the way home and according to the folks on Radio Scotland we were under the cosh.
