Aye if you say so, you must be right if the stats say so. The fact you have to sit and read stats and carnt form an opinion from watching a game clearly shows you dont understand football Maybe you could send bruce your stats then he might pick mcshane because obviously him and me have the same opinion.... Are you then saying bruce clearly doesn't understand football ?
Ah right, so it's just speculative bollox then. Obidiah is trying to claim Steve Bruce decided to get rid of Macca a long while ago and, for some reason only known to Obidiah, has not done so thereby costing us many millions (not that Macca was worth that much anyway). It's just tripe. The club have offered McShane a new contract, ergo they don't and didn't want him to go. The problem is that Macca wants to play regularly. He obviously thinks he's better than Dawson, Curtis and Chezzy. He isn't and that's where the problem lies. Good stalwart for the Club, cult hero etc etc etc. Thanks for your service and your sacrifices to help the Club, Macca, hope you have a great career at Burnley.
I never said he was a victim. He was offered a new contract to be Hull City's 5th or 6th centre back. He didn't fancy the offer and decided not to sign. We lose a centre back with Premier League and international experience for next to nothing. He leaves on his own terms, more or less. I'm sure he would have liked it to be more amicable but that's pure speculation on my part. If he ends up at Burnley he'll fit in with their ethos and will be appreciated for what he brings to their squad.
It takes two people to decide on whether he has a future at the club. The first is Steve Bruce. Steve Bruce wanted him to stay because he offered him the contract. McShane decided not to sign it. McShane would have picked up well over a million a year to be the no 5 or 6 centre back. I would say turning down the contract shows a bit more respect for our club and supporters then sitting on his arse watching the millions pour into his bank for doing next to nothing on the pitch. But I'm funny like that. Wherever McShane ends up he'll have a decent career because he works hard and gives all he has. In my view McShane is better than Alex Bruce and that, I think, is where the problem lies. But its immaterial because he's going, and, likely, for a price that his new club will think is a bargain.
I could tell Junior was **** from the moment he hoofed the ball straight into the chest of the Blackburn player in our penalty area and they scored and we lost 1 0 in his first game - he was voted worst player on the pitch in a championship match - nothing has changed except Brucie keeps picking his son - last season Faye and Macca played between them in every round of the cup - junior didn't - reward for getting to Wembley - both dropped and miraculously Junior gets a start in the final - nepotism at its worst - nothing to do with Brucie not understanding football - everything to do with Brucies statement in the Mirror last Saturday about picking Junior - blood is thicker than water - and that's why some of the squad are getting pissed off because Brucie is taking the piss
I think he forgot Alex's performance in the FA Cup Final as well. We looked comfortable until he went off injured.
Did they **** but keep spouting your **** you're turning into a laughing stock. Neither played in the return against Brighton, Sunland or Sheff U. In Sunland QF and the SF Alex Bruce was on the bench while Figueroa played in the 3 at the back. Real bias there then.
The way I look at this is that Alex Bruce and Paul McShane are pretty similar, they are BACK-UP Centre Backs who will do a job when the first choicers are out injured. Macca hasn't burnt his bridges with anyone. If he apologises for what would have been a breach of Club rules and agrees to the contract he's been offered, then he has a future. The fact is he won't and he will be gone in January. He's not been hard done to and if he believes Alex Bruce is favoured then he is wrong.
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/match/hull-city-vs-liverpool/1483581/ratings as I said - urban myth - it was Davis who sorted Suarez
LOL!!! I must remember to form my opions based on Goal.com instead of using my own eyes from now on!!!
The stats also show If I remember rightly that Davies was one of the top 3 English centre backs....but he didn't go to the World Cup. Judging by this season that probably wasn't a bad decision from Roy. I think whatever way you want to read the stats its opinions that count
